A Celebration of Nature: notes, receipt, and signed poster

File consists of material from the second exhibition of Charles' work in 1985 at Salmagundi (in Vancouver). Materials include a signed poster for the show, notes written by the show's curator, a receipt for purchases made for the show, and a small tag written by Charles that identifies these materials.

Sketches from the Dream Island of Birds: signed posters

File consists of four posters for Charles' exhibition at Tigers Cafe in Vancouver. The exhibition featured work from three of his books, including Sketches from the Dream Island of Birds. Each poster has the same base with text, with a different watercolour print attached to each. The watercolour prints show images of a sunset, an elephant palm, a parrot, and a portrait of a Fiji Island resident.

Life is Art: signed poster and broadside

File consists of material from a 1997 exhibition of Charles' work at the Seymour Art Gallery. Materials include a poster for the exhibition and a broadside printing of Life is Art. The broadside has three watercolour prints attached to it.

Animal Wisdom: signed press proofs

File consists of four signed press proofs for the book Animal Wisdom, each showing multiple pages from the book with printing on recto and verso. According to paperwork from the Joyce Williams Gallery that accompanied these materials, this is Charles' most popular book.

Press proof, signed

Signed press proof for Charles' book, Wind in the Willows. A tag that accompanied this proof has note from Charles saying: "variant proof (black ink) for the trade edition of Willows, 2005. Sent to me as a colour sample, but we chose brown instead. One of a kind, signed."

A Christmas Book

This small book was made by Heavenly Monkey Press, with illustrations by Charles. This is copy 2 of 15, and is signed and annotated by Rollin from Heavenly Monkey and signed b y Charles.

Simonides 521: signed broadside

Broadside was illustrated by Charles, with a translation of a piece by the Greek lyric poet Simonides done by Danielle S. Allen. The broadside was printed by Susan M. Allen at the Oldtown Press in Los Angeles. On the bottom of the broadside is printed "Joint Meeting, Zamorano & Roxburghe Clubs, October 2008."

Impressions of Vancouver: signed poster

Poster for an exhibition at the University of Alberta's Special Collections Library, entitled "Impressions of Vancouver: Disciples of the Book Arts." Poster features a drawing by Charles and is signed by him.
