In addition, the fonds includes personal papers created by John M. Buchanan, Allan M. McGavin and Nathan T. Nemetz while holding the position of Chancellor.

The fond consists predominantly of materials reflecting Carney's political life. Records from her years in the Official Opposition (1980-1984) and in government (1984-1988) consist of parliamentary reports, minutes from Neighbourhood Nights and correspondence from constituents. The majority of materials reflect Carney's tenure as Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources (1984-1986), and Minister of International Trade (1986-1988). For dates during the evolution of both the Atlantic and Western Accords, these records include correspondence between Carney and provincial premiers, Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, and provincial Ministers of Energy. Records from the FTA include a copy of the Canada-U.S. Free Trade Agreement, correspondence with Simon Reisman, Finance Minister Michael Wilson, Mulroney, and other Cabinet Ministers. FTA materials also include correspondence and newspaper clippings from the tenth anniversary of the FTA. The records also include copious handwritten notes from Carney's participation on the Priorities and Planning Committee of the Cabinet. The fonds also includes records from State Visits of the Prince and Princess of Wales and American Vice-President George Herbert Walker Bush to Expo 86, as well as State Visits by President and Mrs. Reagan of the United States and President and Mrs. Mitterrand of France. The fonds also contains records documenting Carney's career as a Senator, including a series dedicated to the Task Force on Barriers to Women in the Public Service. Also, the records contain a series of Carney's School of Community and Regional Planning teaching materials as well as limited amounts from both her private life and her career as an economic journalist.
The 2011 accrual (Boxes 47-60) consists of correspondence, newspaper clippings, personal notes, reports, photographs, tapes and videos created collected by Carney during her time as a Senator. The collection consists of records associated with Librarian Ture Erickson's participation on the Day of Concern Committee in 1984. The material begins early in 1984 and continues through to the September "Day of Concern." Included are handwritten minutes of the meetings, printed material, correspondence, clippings, memorabilia, posters and copies of addresses given at the Robson Square Media Centre.

The fonds consists of a variety of materials, but the focus is the creative writing of Bullock, in many genres. Represented in collections are prose and poetry, both published and unpublished, along with hundreds of individual works, covering not only poetry and prose poems, but academic essays, autobiographical accounts, and plays, as well as a prodigious amount of notes. The fonds also contains material relating to Bullocks work as a translator and includes a variety of genres translated into English from the original French, German, or Italian. The fonds also includes correspondence of both a professional and personal nature. The correspondence from 1935 illustrates the business life of a professional writer; it also contains a wealth of personal correspondence that helps solidify Bullock's stature as a writer both locally and internationally. Impressive figures such as Marcel Bealu, Max Frisch, and Joy Kogawa are intermingled with less well-known artists, friends, and family in the correspondence, and provide valuable commentary, over nearly 70 years, into the creative path chosen by Bullock.

The photographs are of family members, and friends and colleagues from outside UBC. Fonds consists of correspondence, minutes, newspaper clippings and other materials documenting the history of the program, promotion of the program and the profession, and the creation of the Research and Development Fund as well as the 1985 fight to save the program from university budget cuts.

The collection consists of the Canadian Union of Students working papers and studies sponsored by the organization and subject files dealing with issues such as Vietnam, the New Left, Social Action and assorted education topics.

The fonds consists of records which document Edgar Wickberg's research on Chinese land tenure systems and rural society, and the history of Chinese communities overseas. Materials include research notes, correspondence, computer printouts, newspaper and magazine clippings, photocopies of both archival documents and scholarly articles, and file cards and notes stored in file card boxes. The series are Land Tenure (divided into sub-series by region), Rural Localities in China, Chinese in Canada, Chinese in the United States, and File Cards.

The collection consists of research materials collected by Frank Tester and Glenn Drover. A large part of the fonds consists of newspaper clippings from the 1980s and 1990s related to Canadian and international Indigenous issues. Also included are copies of British Columbia provincial statutes and regulations dealing primarily with local First Nations issues, reports, and other materials documenting Indigenous communities' history in British Columbia and throughout Canada, focusing mainly on child welfare issues.

The collection also incorporates materials collected by Glenn Drover, former Director of the School of Social Work (1983-90). Drover was an accomplished scholar and a dedicated advocate for social justice in Canada and globally. He was recognized for his lifetime contributions to Canadian social work when the annual national social worker award was named the Glenn Drover Award for Outstanding Service. He worked with the Cree in the North, with youth in New York City, people in various countries of Africa and Asia, and various social welfare programs.

The collection consists of materials created or acquired by Juta Kitching throughout her membership or role in FUSAC. The collection consists of textual, both typewritten and handwritten, as well as photographs (prints & negatives) and an audio recording. The textual information is a mixture of English, Finnish, Hungarian and Estonian. The collection is organized in the following series: Annual Conferences and Operational Proceedings.

The collection consists of a combination of materials relating to the University Endowment Lands collected and acquired over the years by the UBC Archives. It includes notes, printed material, reports, correspondence, photographs, and clippings.

Fonds consists almost entirely of textual materials created or acquired by Fritz Lehmann, in both his professional and personal capacities. The materials include research notes, lecture materials, course hand-outs, manuscripts of articles and book reviews, research papers written by students, correspondence, reports, newspaper and magazine clippings (original and photocopied), and research grant applications. Also included are a folder of tributes written after Lehmann's death, and some personal correspondence addressed to Joanna Lehmann.
The fonds is arranged in the following series: Lecture Materials, Indian railways Correspondence and Research, Course Materials, Correspondence, Publications, Book Reviews, Personal, and Research Grants and Applications. These series largely reflect the original order in which the fonds was acquired. Most materials are arranged in chronological order, to reflect the evolution of Lehmann's teaching and research interests and activities.

The fonds consists of handwritten minutes from a special meeting (March 1917) of the Class of 1916 at which members discussed the possibility of establishing an Alumni Association. Also included are two scrapbooks. The first, assembled by A. Irene (Vermilyea) Menzies in 1972, provides information about the class's members after graduation, university faculty, and the early history of the university, handwritten with newspaper clippings. The second scrapbook includes biographical information about early UBC graduates from 1916 to 1922 – handwritten, with clippings from Annual yearbooks.

The fonds consist of proceedings, correspondence, minutes, reports, statistics, program and course descriptions, proposals, news releases, and publications. Many of the records originated from the Director's Office of the Centre for Continuing Education, and its predecessor, the Department of University Extension. They document these units' functions, activities, policies, and relationships with other University bodies and external agencies. Also included are audio recordings of lectures and other events sponsored by the Centre. There are also records from the office of the Associate Vice-President, Academic, from when he oversaw the operations of the Centre between 1988 and 1991. Other materials originated from the Women's Resources Centre: three folders of reports, correspondence, and photocopied newspaper clippings relating to the 1971 Status of Women conference, and over thirty publications dealing with women's issues.
A 2017 accrual of material more than doubled the size of the fonds. These records included small additions to the following series: Central Office Files, Administrative Committees, and Staff Relations. More significant additions were added to the Projects and Series, Programs, UBC Departments, UBC Committees, and External Bodies series. Additionally, a significant addition to the fonds was made in the resources series, which includes proceedings and course materials.
A 2018 accrual moderately increased the size of the fonds. Some files from folders without the typical alpha-numerical filing system pattern were placed with the Central Office series. Their contents matched the series description, including grant proposals, memos, correspondence, and budget information. Two new series were added, General History and Associate Vice-President Academic (Dr. Walter Uegama). Dr. McClean's series received additions from the 1992 re-organization and the Strategic Planning of 1993. Projects and Studies, UBC Committees, and UBC Departments series received significant additions as well. External Bodies received an increase, primarily related to CAUCE. The Liaison with External Agencies, Policies and Procedures, Programs, Special Events, and Status of Women series received small additions.

Fonds consists of correspondence, inventories, budgets, articles, clippings, printed material, awards, ownership papers, photographs, and an album about the Department of Animal Husbandry administration and judging competitions. Fonds includes materials regarding the livestock breed by the department and the much-acclaimed cattle herds.

The collection consists of materials acquired or collected by Elmer K. Nelson, primarily relating to the UBC criminology programme and his work for the B.C. Office of Corrections. It includes biographical information (1954-2007), correspondence (1952-1987), newspaper clippings (1952-1957), and publications (1953-1957). Also included is an audio cassette recording (catalogue # UBC 3415) of an interview with Nelson. Corrections Branch History Committee, dated 1978. Additionally, a copy of an article written by Gary Parkinson in 2007, "Recovering the early history of Canadian criminology: Criminology at the University of British Columbia, 1951 to 1959", is included at the request of the collector.

Fonds consists of personal correspondence, newspaper clippings and manuscripts; as well as, memorial tributes, cards and letters of sympathy pertaining to the passing of Sonthoff. The fonds is arranged in the following series: Correspondence, Essays and Criticisms and Memorial Tributes.

The collection contains materials related to Ian McDonald's Master's thesis research on the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 213 “Class conflict and political factionalism: a history of Local 213 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, 1901-1961," and related to the activities of his father, Les McDonald, a trade union activist who belonged to Local 213 but was eventually suspended for leading the Lenkurt strike of 1966. Les McDonald was also a multi-sport athlete, and is credited with introducing the triathlon into the Olympics; some materials in the collection relate to Les McDonald's involvement in various sport and environmental organizations, as well as some of his personal papers. In addition to what he received from his father, Ian McDonald was also given papers by former IBEW Local 213 business manager Art O’Keeffe and Barry Sharbo, a board member of the Canadian Union of Electrical Workers (UE), as well as Alfie Huston, the former President of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 213 from 1985-1988, which are included within the collection.

The collection is largely comprised of newspaper and photocopied journal articles, correspondence between members of IBEW Local 213, legal documentation, newsletters and other printed ephemera related to IBEW Local 213.

The collection also contains sound recordings of interviews with numerous figures in IBEW Local 213 created by Ian McDonald during his thesis research. McDonald's thesis, submitted for the completion of a Master of Arts in History at Simon Fraser University, can be found in the Summit database: http://summit.sfu.ca/item/6361.

The collection also contains background materials accumulated by McDonald while writing his book “The Red Baron of IBEW 213,” including digital sound recordings of interviews, research articles, notebooks, consent forms, a draft royalty agreement, a draft chapter and a press marketing questionnaire.

The fonds consists of material relating to the foundation and early development of the Department of Fine Arts and other university-related committees and activities in which Binning participated, including the Fine Arts Committee, the Festival of Contemporary Arts, and the development of Nitobe Gardens. The archivist restored the original order where it was definitive. However, Ecological Reserve Applications 1-39 can be found scattered throughout the supporting records series. The original record keeper appears to have created a filing system beginning at the Ecological Reserve Application 40 (Petitot Rivers).

Fonds consists of records documenting the origins and early history of the British Columbia Union Catalogue and includes correspondence, reports, and publications. They are arranged primarily in chronological order.

This fonds consists of textual records, photographs, newspaper clippings, a VHS tape, and an audio reel. The materials focus on the history (or “herstory”) of the Women’s Resource Centre, emphasizing their move from the UBC Robson Square, where they originally opened in 1973, to the UBC Point Grey campus in 2002.

The records of the Department of Athletics and Recreation fonds are representative of the athletics side of the Department of Athletics and Recreation. While athletics and recreation fall under the same department, in practice, they operate independently of one another. Their textual records are also physically held at separate locations. The fonds consists of Cyril Belshaw's personal and professional papers. The professional records chronicle both his involvement in numerous local, national, and international organizations (including the Academic Board for Higher Education in British Columbia, the Regional Training Centre for United Nations Fellows, the Social Science Research Council of Canada, the Pacific Sciences Association, UNESCO, and the Canadian Sociology and Anthropology Association), and his teaching and administrative activities at UBC. The records also include his original research material and data into various groups in the South Pacific, and other topics in anthropology. More personal records related to his education and family. Also included are materials about the disappearance and subsequent inquiry into the death of Betty Joy Belshaw. Fonds consists almost entirely of materials created or acquired by Harry Adaskin throughout his life and career. It includes the manuscripts for his autobiographies, correspondence, scripts for radio broadcasts and lectures, newspaper clippings, and concert programmes, photographs, films, and audio recordings. Also included are annotated copies of Adaskin's two autobiographies: A Fiddler's World (published in 1977), and A Fiddler's Choice (1982). Some outside correspondence addressed to his wife Frances after his death is also included.
