British Columbia Ecological Reserves fonds
The fonds consist of reports from field surveyors submitted as applications to designate areas in British Columbia for protection. The fonds also contains supporting records relating to the wider Ecological Reserve program and include correspondence, progress reports, presentations, memorandums, lectures, briefs, surveys, "dead applications", news clippings, Orders of the Lieutenant in Council [photocopies], pamphlets, check sheets, aerial photographs, park proposals, handwritten notes, and meeting minutes. Also included is a small series of records relating to Vladimir Krajina, including; general correspondence, curriculum vitae, a list of publications, articles, newspaper clippings, notes, a legacy biography and obituary.
The archivist restored the original order where it was definitive. However, Ecological Reserve Applications 1-39 can be found scattered throughout the supporting records series. The original record keeper appears to have created a filing system beginning at the Ecological Reserve Application 40 (Petitot Rivers).

The materials include photocopies of twenty-seven BCMC task force reports initially released in 1974, each of which addresses a specific aspect of health care in British Columbia. Done for History Television’s Turning Points of History series, Burn Baby Burn (1993) is an early documentary about the 1965 Watts riots in Los Angeles directed by David Paperny while doing freelance work shortly after leaving the CBC. Large-scale rioting broke out in the Watts neighbourhood of Los Angeles, California, in August of 1965, following months of racial tension between the residents of the neighbourhood and law enforcement.

The collection consists of two catalogues (1927, 1935) of ethnological specimens presented by Frank Burnett to UBC and minutes of the University of British Columbia's President's Committee on the Musuem (1941-1944).

A self-taught native pop artist inspired by BC natives, Average was awarded the RCA Award by the Queen in 2004 for his contribution to the Arts and the gay community. Call Me Average, told in his voice and from his perspective, provides insight into Joe's imagination and the events that have shaped his life and art. In addition to an interview with Joe, the film draws upon his art, archival images of his public life, private photographs, and interviews with his friends and colleagues, including Jaime Griffiths, Anne Carlson, Mary Brownstone, Michael Harding, Marc Lieberman, Richard Taylor and Dr. Laura Louie. Also interviewed is former Vancouver mayor Philip Owen. Alternate titles for this film are Joe Average and Anything But Average. The thirty-minute documentary earned Paperny Films several distinctions, including an Honorable Mention at The Film Council of Greater Columbus' 52nd Annual Columbus International Film and Video Festival in 2004; a nomination and award to David Paperny and Trevor Hodgson for Best Documentary Program or series -- History / Biography / Social / Political at the Leo Awards in 2005; a nomination in the Documentary Biography category and a Jury Award to Trevor Hodgson and David Paperny (Producers) and James Dunnison (Director) at the Yorkton Short Film & Video Festival's Golden Sheaf Awards in 2005.

This fonds contains records relating to Cameron MacLeod’s schooling, personal life, and work as an artist. The majority of the material spans from his childhood until his death in 1983, but the fonds also contains records relating to posthumous exhibitions of his artwork. Campus Building Specifications Collection
The collection consists of thirteen bound reports (and two addenda) of building specifications - heating and ventilation, architectural, and plumbing - for the following buildings: Chemistry (additions), Biological Sciences (additions), Men's Residence (Block 3), University Social Centre and Faculty Club, International House, and the New Arts Building Group (later the Buchanan Building). The reports were each prepared by either the mechanical engineering consulting firm of C.W. Thomson & Company Ltd, the University's architects Thompson, Berwick & Pratt, or Fred Lasserre, Koyander & Wright - Associated Architects.
