The records consist of signed contracts, specifications, minutes, correspondence, quotations, financial statements, reports, signed Forms of Tender, memoranda, photographs and architectural drawings. They document the planning and construction of the University of British Columbia buildings designed and overseen by the architectural firm. Also, They document the architectural firm's activities on buildings in Vancouver, the province of British Columbia and elsewhere. Some of the files represent unsuccessful bids on jobs. There are original, blueprint and ozalid architectural drawings in this collection. The drawings of University buildings consist mainly of original drawings and blueprints. The drawings of buildings in Vancouver and elsewhere are few in number and are mostly ozalid reproductions.

The fonds consists of records pertaining to Tom Wayman’s literary career and his involvement with the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW). Writing records include juvenalia, published writing, anthologies edited by Wayman, and correspondence with publishers, including royalty statements, book reviews, and legal agreements. Contents also include research materials Wayman collected for his various writing projects and correspondence with other writers and anthology editors. The IWW records include research on the IWW’s history, administrative records such as meeting minutes, publications (promotional and informational), and photographs.

Fonds consists of records generated by TRAS in the course of raising funds for, and administering funds to, overseas partners. The fonds is organized into the following series: administrative records (1962-1990) and project records (1964-1997). The film “Initiation of a Dalai Lama” was brought to UBC by John Conway in May 1988 to be deposited with the records of TRAS. Documentation from 1970 with the film suggests the film was borrowed from UBC Audio-Visual Services Extension Department by Dr. Shotaro Iida for use by the Dalai Lama.

The collection consists of materials gathered by Karl Ruppenthal as course aids for subjects taught mainly at Stanford University as part of the Transportation Management Program. The bulk of the collection consists of copies of transportation industry publications, published regulatory decisions and reports and related documents, and transcripts of addresses and speeches by other individuals, along with related correspondence and newspaper and magazine clippings. There are no papers in the collection generated by Ruppenthal himself, apart from copies of letters requesting materials from corporations and regulatory bodies, and some written notes. The collection consists of 20 audio recordings one of which is a recording of the UBC 50th anniversary commemorative ceremonies on 1 October 1965, and the others being CBC interviews with prominent alumni and former faculty on 7-8 September 1965.

The Uno Langmann Family Collection of B.C. Photographs, donated by Uno and Dianne Langmann and Uno Langmann Limited, consists of more than 20,000 rare and unique early photographs from the 1850s to the 1970s. It is considered the premiere private collection of early provincial photos, and an important illustrated history of early photographic methods. The photographs were taken by a wide range of photographers. Some well-known photographers represented in the collection include William Notman, Charles MacMunn, Frederick Dally, Charles Horetzky, Charles Gentile, Philip Timms, Yucho Chow, R. Maynard, and Leonard Frank.

The textual records pertain to the personal correspondence of the members of the Wilkinson family, school records, an appointment book, a diary, sketchbooks of international travel, personal financial records and statistical records relating to British Columbia logging practices.

The collection of papers of William Brenton Burnett consists mainly of autograph letters, typescripts of addresses, notebooks and documents. These relate to Dr. Burnett’s life as a student at Acadia University and at McGill University, and as a teacher and physician in Vancouver, British Columbia. The principal part of the collection deals with the early years of the period covered (1891-1964). A number of diplomas accompany these papers.

Throughout his education and political careers, the records were generated by William Bruneau and relate both to personal and professional interests.
