The fonds consists of notebooks on marine observations, manuscripts, lecture notes, drawings and plates of sea life, and assorted pamphlets. Much of this material relates to Fraser's research on salmon. Also included are photographs taken during a collecting trip to the South Pacific. The fonds contains minutes of the British Columbia Industrial and Scientific Research Council (1944).

Fonds consists of materials which document and reflect Charles Humphries' involvement with the Historic Sites and Monuments Board, and the Provincial Heritage Advisory Board. The materials include correspondence, reports, minutes (published and unpublished), and agenda papers (published and unpublished). Research materials include typed notes from newspaper articles, photocopies of newspaper articles, papers, transcripts and photocopies from various Canadian and British archives, and copies of death and birth certificates. Fonds also includes some biographical materials. Fonds consists of material about the development of the home economics program at UBC, the general historical growth of the field and some miscellaneous Canadian Home Economic Association materials (1952-64). The fonds includes a set of Black's diaries for the period between 1920 and 1942 as well as extensive correspondence from Black to her family, particularly while abroad (1937-38, 1953, and 1958-59).

Chasing the Cure series

Directed by Aynsley Vogel, the four-episode science documentary Chasing the Cure (2002) (also known as The Cutting Edge) explores the work and personal stories of four Canadian scientists looking for the cure to diseases such as heart disease, cancer and bacterial poisoning. It looks toward the future of medicine in light of this research. The 60-minute episodes focus on the work of Dr. Michael Hayden, a University of British Columbia expert on heart disease and Huntington's disease; Dr. Freda Miller, a Toronto expert on neurobiology and stem cell research; Dr. Brett Finlay, a University of British Columbia professor who is leading researcher of pathogenic E-coli and salmonella; and Dr. Brenda Gallie, a Toronto expert on cancer and a leading Retinoblastoma researcher. In addition to Hayden, Miller, Finlay and Gallie and members of their families, individuals interviewed include Dr. Alan Bernstein, President of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Dr. Donna Senger, Dr. Nancy Olivieri, Dr. Andrew Potter, Dr. Paul Goldberg, Dr. Ron Warton, Dr. Robert Hancock, Dr. James Scott, Dr. Martin Raff, Dr. David Kaplan, Dr. Chris Bleakley, Dr. Stanley Falkow, Dr. Helen Chan, Dr. Mark Selikowitz, Dr. Simon Pimstone, and Dr. Laura Frost.

Series consists of a digital master tape, a set of video and audio elements and textual material relating to the development of the production.

Chief Nursing Officer Study series

Series includes records of the research and writing of Chief Nursing Officers in National Ministries of Health: Focal Points for Nursing Leadership, published by Richard and Verna Splane in 1994. Records include correspondence, reports, notes, articles, drafts, travel pamphlets, speech transcripts, and interview transcripts. Series is partially organized by region visited and arranged by the donor.

Child Study Centre Series

Series consists of background material, correspondence, minutes, manuscripts and printed materials related to the UBC Child Study Centre.

Children’s Books series

The series consists of correspondence, drafts, manuscripts, and other records related to works for children authored by New. Books represented include Vanilla Gorilla (1998), Llamas in the Laundry (2002), Dream Helmet (2005), The Year I was Grounded (2009), and Sam Swallow and the Riddleworld League (2013).

Children's Books series

Series consists of records related to McNeil’s children’s books. It contains drafts, correspondence with McNeil’s editors, publishers, publicists, as well as contracts with the same. It also consists of general conferences and reading programs that she attended or participated in.

China Tour series

In 1978 James Thornton participated in an adult educators’ visit to the People’s Republic of China. Organized by UBC’s Adult Education Department and the Centre for Continuing Studies, the objective of the tour was to examine how the newly-formed Chinese Government after the fall of the “Gang of Four” would use forms of formal and informal adult education programs and professional training initiatives to repair China’s social fabric and revitalize economic structures devastated by the “cultural revolution”. Shortly after the UBC group arrived in Shanghai in the summer of 1978, they were joined by a group from the University of Alberta and then continued on a three-week tour of China.

This series includes 746 slides taken during the trip, a group photograph and a short description of the tour from Thornton’s autobiography. The slides have been removed from their original boxes and transferred into slide sleeves and put into file folders. The original descriptions from the slide boxes have been transferred to the file descriptions.

Chinese Head Tax Project subseries

Subseries consists of research notes and digital data assembled by Ward and Dr. Henry Yu for the Chinese Head Tax Project. This comprehensive project involved digitizing more than 96,000 entries to the Chinese Head Tax Register.

Chinese in Canada series

Series consists of materials collected by Edgar Wickberg that document the history of the Chinese community in Canada or that document public perceptions of the Chinese-Canadian community. It consists primarily of newspaper and magazine clippings and correspondence, notes, and other published materials.

Chinese in Singapore and Malaysia series

Series consists of materials collected by Edgar Wickberg, which document the history of the Chinese community in Malaysia and Singapore, and consists of photocopied newspaper articles acquired through the National University of Singapore.

Chinese in the United States series

Series consists of materials collected by Edgar Wickberg that document the history of the Chinese community in the United States, or that document public perceptions of the Chinese-American community. It consists primarily of newspaper and magazine clippings and correspondence, notes, and other published materials.

Chinese Organizations series

Series consists of lists, clippings, notes, and printed material about various Chinese organizations. Series contains two subseries: Associations, Clubs, and Societies and Individual Files subseries. In addition, recent publications of the Shon Yee Benevolent Association of Canada (file 26-34) were added in February 1999.

Chinese Times series

Series consists of two indexes, one chronological and the other subject, about articles within the Chinese Times newspaper. The indexes were created by three readers who surveyed the entire run of the paper from 1914 to 1969 and provided summarized notes in English. Series contains two subseries: Chronological Research Index and Subject Index subseries.
As of July 2016, the entire run of the Chinese Times is available in digital format at http://chinesetimes.lib.sfu.ca/.

Chronological Engineering Physics Files series

Series consists of records from Engineering Physics. It includes documentation organized roughly according to year. These documents relate to class enrollment, course outlines, interdepartmental memoranda, surveys, reunion materials, class lists, reports, and brochures.

This series is arranged based on the chronological system followed by Engineering Physics. The folders are named according to the names and dates given in hanging files by Engineering Physics and appear to be collected by Professor Edward Auld. Note that files do not exist for each year, and in some instances, the folders include a broader range of years than is identified by the title initially given by Engineering Physics.

The subseries consists of various records about the chronologies created for and included in Literature In English, including clippings and notes, revisions and an appendix.

City Government series

This series includes notes, research, newspaper clippings, and correspondence relating to Vancouver politics, as well as Gibson's run for Mayor.

Civic Arts Committee series

Series consists of records specifically from the Civic Arts Committee of the Community Arts Council of Vancouver. In addition, it includes minutes and records relating to various projects, such as downtown development, transportation and city streets.

The fonds consists of handwritten minutes from a special meeting (March 1917) of the Class of 1916 at which members discussed the possibility of establishing an Alumni Association. Also included are two scrapbooks. The first, assembled by A. Irene (Vermilyea) Menzies in 1972, provides information about the class's members after graduation, university faculty, and the early history of the university, handwritten with newspaper clippings. The second scrapbook includes biographical information about early UBC graduates from 1916 to 1922 – handwritten, with clippings from Annual yearbooks.

Claude Dolman fonds

The fonds comprised of two series of records. The first series, History of Medicine at UBC (1936-1976), contains correspondence, memoranda, and reports relating to the proposed establishment of an Institute of Preventive Medicine (1936-1940). It also includes records associated with the preparation and execution of the Medical Education survey (1946), correspondence and reports relating to the Department of Bacteriology and Preventive Medicine (1951-1955), and a history of the UBC Medical School (1976). Records of the Royal Society of Canada comprise the second series. A large portion of this material reflects the efforts of the Society to participate in the formulation and implementation of a national science policy beginning from the mid-1960s through to the early 1970s.

Series consists of written submissions and other materials collected by Stanley Weston of the Cliff Erosion Task Force, and includes correspondence, reports, and printed materials. See general notes field for further background on Stanley Weston.

Clippings series

Series consists of newspaper and magazine clippings, photocopied articles, website printouts, other published items, and manuscripts. It is arranged in three sub-series: Pieces by Schlesinger, Pieces about Schlesinger, and Other Pieces. Files are maintained in chronological order. Some items may have been initially included in the volumes described in the Scrapbooks series and are now re-filed here.

Clippings series

The series consists of clippings from newspapers and magazines and includes examples of Chongs’s published fiction and non-fiction writing and reviews of his books.

Clippings series

Series consists of newspaper clippings about sports, sports periodicals, and writings on various sports techniques. Series includes clippings of Gnup's column, "Gnupermania," from The Courier. Series also includes photocopies and clippings of newspaper articles that refer to the late Frank Gnup and would have been added to his papers after his death in 1976.

Cli-Red series

Series consists of transparencies in cardboard frames and drafts, notes, finished papers, charts, data, and published articles.
