British Columbia series

Series consists of reports (published and unpublished) on adult education programmes and community colleges in British Columbia, particularly their organization and establishment around the province.

Broadcast series

Series consists of information relating to Suzuki’s TV broadcasts. These include general information, publicity material and research materials for specific episodes. There are currently only three files in this series, but further accruals are expected.

This series includes production schedules, notes, scripts, audiocassettes and correspondence relating to the broadcast series called Medical Explorers written by W.C. Gibson and broadcast as a T.V. series for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in 1974.

Broadcasts series

Series consists of scripts of radio broadcasts, chiefly from the nineteen forties and fifties. Most of Daniells' broadcasts were done for the CBC and were carried nationally. The CBC generally retained the scripts, and Daniells kept only a small selection.

Broadsheets series

Series consists of broadsheets, including information about courses offered, enrolment figures, names of instructors, stipends paid, and course costs and revenues. The files are arranged by session (Spring, Summer, and Winter) and then chronologically by year.

Budget series

Series consists of bound volumes documenting the University’s annual operation budget. Budget documents are missing for the fiscal years 1970-1971, 1979-1980, 1986-1987, 1989-1990, and 1995-1996 to 2000-2001.

Series consists of materials related to financial decision-making and general information regarding the School's budget policies.

Burn Baby Burn series

Done for History Television’s Turning Points of History series, Burn Baby Burn (1993) is an early documentary about the 1965 Watts riots in Los Angeles directed by David Paperny while doing freelance work shortly after leaving the CBC. Large-scale rioting broke out in the Watts neighbourhood of Los Angeles, California, in August of 1965, following months of racial tension between the residents of the neighbourhood and law enforcement.

Series consists of a digital master tape and video and audio elements relating to the development of the production.

Business series

This series consists of records relating to joint projects undertaken by Distance Education and Technology and various international businesses and organizations to run correspondence courses at UBC. These records include project proposals, reports, correspondence, and contracts. The series is arranged according to the filing system provided by the creator.

Calcitonin series

Series consists of information regarding Copp's discovery of Calcitonin, including the history of the hormone's discovery and its uses, information about pharmaceutical production of the hormone, scholarly articles, literature updates, and correspondence. Files are arranged broadly by topic and then chronologically.

Call Me Average series

Directed by James Dunnison, Call Me Average (2004) documents the legacy of Vancouver-based Canadian artist Joe Average through his life, art, attitudes and activism. A self-taught native pop artist inspired by BC natives, Average was awarded the RCA Award by the Queen in 2004 for his contribution to the Arts and the gay community. Call Me Average, told in his voice and from his perspective, provides insight into Joe's imagination and the events that have shaped his life and art. In addition to an interview with Joe, the film draws upon his art, archival images of his public life, private photographs, and interviews with his friends and colleagues, including Jaime Griffiths, Anne Carlson, Mary Brownstone, Michael Harding, Marc Lieberman, Richard Taylor and Dr. Laura Louie. Also interviewed is former Vancouver mayor Philip Owen. Alternate titles for this film are Joe Average and Anything But Average. The thirty-minute documentary earned Paperny Films several distinctions, including an Honorable Mention at The Film Council of Greater Columbus' 52nd Annual Columbus International Film and Video Festival in 2004; a nomination and award to David Paperny and Trevor Hodgson for Best Documentary Program or series -- History / Biography / Social / Political at the Leo Awards in 2005; a nomination in the Documentary Biography category and a Jury Award to Trevor Hodgson and David Paperny (Producers) and James Dunnison (Director) at the Yorkton Short Film & Video Festival's Golden Sheaf Awards in 2005.

Series includes logs, statistics, forms, and correspondence concerning visitor programs, summer tours, and special events sponsored by Community Relations. Two subseries: Summer Tour/ Visitor Information and M.L.A. Days.

Campus, Municipal, and Architectural Plans series

Series consists of maps, plans and charts relating to Buck's interests in planning the UBC campus, Vancouver, and other cities between 1911 and 1950. Their organization is by subject, following the arrangement of Buck's other papers.

Canada AM and “701” series

Series includes materials related to Saltzman’s involvement as co-host of Canada AM and the cancellation of the show “701” (formerly Tabloid.) Materials include handwritten notes on guests, fan mail, clippings, and scripts.

Canada and the Idea of North series

Materials related to the writing and publishing of Canada and the Idea of North (2007). Includes annotated research materials, lecture notes, correspondence, publishing permissions, photographs, clippings, and ephemera.

Series consists of correspondence and grant documentation regarding Canada Council's support of the Canadian Yearbook of International Law.

Canada Council series

The Canada Council was established in February 1957 through "An Act for the Establishment of a Canadian Council for the Encouragement of the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences." It grew out of the principal recommendation of the Royal Commission on National Development in the Arts, Letters and Sciences (Massey Commission), 1949 to 1951. The Council promotes the study, enjoyment, and production of works in the art shares responsibility for Canada's cultural relations abroad. In addition, it administers comprehensive scholarships, grants and awards in various categories. Norman MacKenzie was a prominent member of the Council.
The series consists of correspondence, minutes, working papers, printed material, reports, press releases and clippings generated by the Canada Council. The correspondence is arranged alphabetically by year and the working papers chronologically. In addition, the material provides a detailed description of meetings, agendas and applications for grants.

Canadian American Committee series

The Canadian American Committee (CAC) examined Canada's economic policy and trade relations with the United States. Publications by the CAC are sponsored by the National Planning Association (U.S.) and the Private Planning Association of Canada.
The series consists of reports on commodities and energy resources and cross-border business activities. Minutes of meetings and agendas are also included. Most of the working papers are statements prepared for members' signatures. The post-1965 years may be supplemented by the Subject Files and Main Correspondence Series material.

Canadian and International Organizations series

Originally numbered 15.000. Series consists of records documenting the involvement of International House with Canadian and international organizations, programmes, and events, including CBIE (Canadian Bureau of International Education) and Contact Canada (a home-stay programme for Canadian and international students). Materials include correspondence, reports, minutes, clippings and other published materials.

Canadian Artist series

Series consists of hand-written notes, photocopied and other articles, newspaper clippings, and advertising of art exhibitors of Canadian art. Although covering nearly four hundred years of Canadian art history, the bulk of the series is concerned with the early 20th century and the Group of Seven artistic school. Series arrangement based on Walker's filing system.

Canadian Association of University Teachers series

Series consists of correspondence, reports, and minutes of meetings about the period in which Rosenbluth was president of CAUT (1966-1967) as well as CAUT committees with which Rosenbluth was involved, including the Salary Committee, the Committee to Study the Extent of Discrimination Against Women, the Committee on Research Support in Universities, the Ad Hoc Committee to Examine Recent Changes in Tenure Regulations at the University of Manitoba, and the Federal/Provincial Financing Committee.

Canadian Centenary Council series

The Canadian Centenary Council was established in 1960 by a large group of public-spirited citizens as a clearinghouse and information centre to promote ideas for 1967. Its primary goal was to persuade businessmen and others to contribute ideas, initiative and money to the centennial. In 1962, Mackenzie was appointed president of the Council and stayed with the organization until it was wound up in 1969. The series consists of correspondence arranged chronologically and then alphabetically. The working papers are arranged chronologically. There is also printed material which includes various reports and publications of the Council.

Canadian Cross Roads International series

Series consists of material that reflects recruitment and fundraising activities by Canadian Cross Roads International, which provides university students with the opportunity to work in developing countries to establish links between Canada and the developing world.

Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board series

This series consists of documents related to the accreditation process for the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) regarding Engineering Physics. It includes correspondence, meeting notes, draft documentation, course outlines, documents that explain the coop program, notes regarding the program's requirements, copies of student reports and assignments, and other relevant documents.

The series is organized following the arrangement of Engineering Physics which collected these materials in hanging folders labelled "CEAB 1999" and "CEAB 2005".

Canadian Federal Government series

This series contains records relating to projects worked on by Distance Education and Technology in collaboration with the Canadian Federal Government, including “Educational Support Services Canadian Forces Continuing Education Program” and “Program for North American Mobility in Higher Education.” It includes correspondence, application information packages, project proposals, contracts, budgets and resumes. The series is arranged according to the filing system provided by the creator.

Canadian Hydrographic Charts series

Series consists of hydrographic charts compiled by the Canadian Hydrographic Service from 1956 to 1970. They are in various scales and dimensions and are arranged in numerical sequence.

Canadian Library Association series

Series consists of records documenting Anne Smith's involvement in C.L.A. activities and includes correspondence, reports, and minutes. It is arranged in two sub-series: Canadian Biographies of Artists and Authors and C.L.A. Committee On Liaison With Asian and African Libraries.
