The collection consists of off-prints and copies of articles and reports arranged alphabetically by faculty member name.

The fonds consists of correspondence, reports, and minutes of meetings relating to the activities and programs of the Department of Psychology, and photographs of Department Heads and prominent faculty members. Some records date from before the formation of the Department, when the psychology program was still part of the Department of Philosophy and Psychology. Also included are audio recordings of interviews (with typed transcripts) documenting the Department's historical development.
The material is arranged in six series: Administration, Departmental Committees, Departmental Programs, External Correspondence, Historical Files, and Oral History Project. The Historical Files series consists of textual records which document the Department's formative years, and photographs; they had been placed in a box and stored separately from the Department's other records until transferred to the Archives.

The records include Annual reports (1964-1984) from both Summer Session and OESS. Material from the Co-ordinating Committee on Extra-Sessional Studies (1976-1980), Broadsheets (1964-1984) and subject files.

Fonds consists of the following series: Biographical Files (1945-1973), Subject Files (1939-1978), Annual Reports (1969-1974), UBC Publications Survey (1975-1977), Speeches - John B. MacDonald (1962-1967), Miscellaneous Subjects (1963-1983), Sound and Moving Images (1968-1983), Photographs (1969-1980), and "News from UBC" (1966-1974). The Miscellaneous subjects series includes materials pertaining to UBC's participation in "Habitat" (the 1976 United Nations Conference on Human Settlement), and the Commonwealth University Congress (1978).

Fonds consists of correspondence, minutes, reports, financial records, and published materials created or acquired by the Office of the Dean of Arts in the course of the Faculty's administration. Also included are architectural plans of the Buchanan Building and other campus facilities. The records are arranged in the following series: Faculty of Arts Meetings, Heads & Directors Meetings, Committees, Budgets, Asian Centre, Museum of Anthropology, Space and Building Allocation, Statistics, Student Relations, Department and Programme Correspondence, Departmental Reviews, Faculty and Departmental Reports, UBC Non-Departmental Correspondence, General Correspondence, Development/Projects, Architectural Plans - University of British Columbia, and Architectural Plans and Drawings from the Dean of Arts Office.

The fonds consists of records reflecting the myriad of activities under the President's Office. Records relating to the university's founding in its earliest days include records of the early days of Medicine at UBC. Records relating to Indigenous Peoples include the teacher training program and "Native Indian Students at UBC." Documents related to faculties and departments, including Applied Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Forestry, Graduate Studies, VP Finance, Administrative Services, VP Faculty and Student Affairs, Dean of Women, Agricultural Sciences, Dentistry, Education, Law, Medicine, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Also present are records related to Women at UBC, - including reports on the Status of Academic and Non-Academic Women - Senate Committees and the Board of Governors. Personnel records related to employees, salaries, agreements with Provincial and Territorial Governments and affiliated organizations with UBC, finances, the many UBC committees, advisory groups and records associated with the founding of UBC institutes, foundations, centres and the Faculty Club. Records also relate to teacher evaluations, student discipline, budgets, appointments, new programs, legal opinion, and grant and scholarship awards. Subject files include the Downtown Eastside and the President's Task Force to renew sports services. There are also records related to the University Endowment Lands and the UBC's planning and development of land and buildings. Records types include agreements, agendas, applications, minutes, manuals, correspondence, memorandums, evaluations, reports, summaries, subject files, statistics, speeches, policies, procedures, pamphlets and academic plans.
