The collection consists of thirteen bound reports (and two addenda) of building specifications - heating and ventilation, architectural, and plumbing - for the following buildings: Chemistry (additions), Biological Sciences (additions), Men's Residence (Block 3), University Social Centre and Faculty Club, International House, and the New Arts Building Group (later the Buchanan Building). The reports were each prepared by either the mechanical engineering consulting firm of C.W. Thomson & Company Ltd, the University's architects Thompson, Berwick & Pratt, or Fred Lasserre, Koyander & Wright - Associated Architects.

The fonds consists of six series: Correspondence, Illustrations, Administration, Lectures, Abstracts, Notes, and Drafts, Videotapes, and Publications. It includes textual materials in manuscript and published form, original illustrative artwork, and video recordings. Additional biographical information is included in folder 11-33.

The fonds consists of records generated through the various activities of the Ceremonies Office. Included in the fonds are administrative records (1964-1984) as well as records that document the activities associated with Congregation (1950-2006), building openings (1951-1986) and numerous functions sponsored by the University (1962-1995). The fonds also include information about honorary degree recipients, congratulatory greetings to Presidents K. George Pedersen (1983), David Strangway (1985) and various other ceremonial activities.
