Also included is a typed manuscript for the "Checklist of Canadian Literature".

Fonds consists of original versions of manuscripts and working records. Included are manuscripts, edited and marked for printing, typescript, editorials, articles, poems and book reviews of Canadian Literature, Issues #73 - #179, 1977-2003. Also included are correspondence files, 1975-1993. These latter files contain letters from many well-known Canadian writers and poets. Records from the pre-1977 period will be found at Queen's University Archives interspersed with other correspondence in the George Meredith Woodcock manuscript collection.

These sketches were commissioned for an article on UBC in the ILN, 22 September 1956 (pages 467-470). Some have captions or notes attached, and notes on the verso regarding those printed in the ILN. The Library acquired them in January 1991. The drawings include the UBC Library's interior, the Library from the outside, the exterior of the Science Building, view looking north from the top of the Science Building, Brock Hall, the War Memorial Gym, the Wesbrook building, and an experiment in a laboratory in the Science Building.

Collection consists of Al Sens’ professional records, produced and received in the process of his career in cartoon and animation illustration. Material spans his career from the 1950s to the 2010s. The collection is arranged into two series according to record type: publications series and original illustration series.

The fonds consists of 6,066 35 mm negatives of dress rehearsals of major UBC theatrical productions between 1961 and 1988. The fonds also includes copies of programs from productions at the Frederic Wood Theatre (1964-1991).

The collection consists of duplicate copies of Community Arts Council of Vancouver (CACV) records given to Melva Dwyer. The records are made up of two series. The first includes general material about the organization - Annual Reports (1953-1956, 1967), Special Projects (1955-1967) including reports of the Vancouver Festival Society, Council Briefs and records from the British Columbia Arts Resources Conferences (1957-1960). The second series comprises records specifically from the Civic Arts Committee of the Community Arts Council of Vancouver.

Fonds consists almost entirely of textual materials created or acquired by Fritz Lehmann, in both his professional and personal capacities. The materials include research notes, lecture materials, course hand-outs, manuscripts of articles and book reviews, research papers written by students, correspondence, reports, newspaper and magazine clippings (original and photocopied), and research grant applications. Also included are a folder of tributes written after Lehmann's death, and some personal correspondence addressed to Joanna Lehmann.

These series largely reflect the original order in which the fonds was acquired. The fonds contain materials that document William Fredeman's professional activities and personal life. It consists of correspondence, reports, copies of articles, course materials, a journal, clippings, microfilms and photocopies of original manuscripts, written notes and other research materials, photographs, videocassettes, a set of index cards, and a metal seal bearing the logo of the Journal of Pre-Raphaelite & Aesthetic Studies. The materials are arranged in the following series: Colbeck Collection, JPRAS (Journal of Pre-Raphaelite & Aesthetic Studies), Emily Faithfull and the Victorian Press, Victorian Poetry, T.J. The fonds consists of two series: the Roma Research series and a Publications series composed of copies of Cohn's publications. The first series includes material generated or collected by Cohn in the course of researching Roma. It includes audiotaped interviews of Rom with notebooks containing descriptions and analysis of the conversations; a computer-generated inventory of kinship ties among hundreds of North American Roma; a transcript of a New York trial (1962) of a Roma fortune teller; miscellaneous printed and published materials on Roma, collected by Cohn; and materials from a correspondence course for learning Romani (1969/70). The research series also contains photographs (1968-74) of Roma taken by Cohn throughout North America and Europe. The Publications series includes copies of Cohn articles (1959-1993) and a bibliography of his works (1950-1993).

It also contains manuscripts by students, materials related to musician and composer Michael Zilber, Department of Creative Writing administrative records as well as various UBC committee records.

Fonds consists of textual material related to the teaching and academic work of Morehart at UBC, as well as personal research and publications. There are also materials from Morehart’s personal life, including artwork, which consists primarily of several canvas boards and other flat materials, and personal correspondence. Materials include handwritten notes, printed documents, publications, photocopies of publications and articles, original artwork, journals, and the contents of several binders. Folder names are primarily taken from original folders. There are eight series: Artwork, Correspondence, Miscellaneous, Personal, Photographs, Research Materials/Articles, Sceattas Research Materials and Writings, and Teaching/Lecture Materials.

Fonds consists of textual records generated throughout Dr. Miller's career with the Department of English. They document his involvement in Departmental affairs and include correspondence with students and other faculty; Departmental memos and newsletters, teaching notes; and committee minutes. The records also illustrate some of his interests and activities outside the Department, including the Faculty of Arts Committee on Student Life; President's Committees on University Lectures, and Spiritual Life; the UBC Anglican-United Campus Ministry, and the Co-operative Christian Campus Ministry; the Humanities Association of Canada; and the Association of Canadian University Teachers of English.
The files are arranged in three series, representing Dr. Miller's spheres of activity: Department of English, University Affairs, and Outside Interests. Some files' contents overlap, particularly those dealing with the lecture committees and those labelled "English Department" and "Departmental Records" - however, the files and their contents were retained in their original order.

The fonds consists of the original typescript and proofs of Trial of a City and drafts and page proofs of Turvey. The manuscripts date from 1948 to 1952. Included is some correspondence between Birney and Stephen Vicinczey and a poem that Birney submitted to Vicinczey's magazine Exchange.

The records were organized according to either Howes original filing system or to its overall contents.

The fonds consists of typescripts, handwritten drafts, notes and reviews relating to plays written, performed, or directed by Panych. Also included are photographs relating to his theatre career and biographical material, including school transcripts and video cassette tapes of an episode of Da Vinci's Inquest that Panych directed. The fonds comprises four series: Scripts and Manuscripts, Personal, Photographs and Audio/visual.

Fonds contains five series: Correspondence, Notes, and Reports (1947-1976); Indigenous Peoples of BC Research (1954-1967); Doukhobors (1948-1954); Northern Development Research (1972); Harry Hawthorn Project (19--); and Audio (1971) series.

The fonds consist of proceedings, correspondence, minutes, reports, statistics, program and course descriptions, proposals, news releases, and publications. Many of the records originated from the Director's Office of the Centre for Continuing Education, and its predecessor, the Department of University Extension. They document these units' functions, activities, policies, and relationships with other University bodies and external agencies. Also included are audio recordings of lectures and other events sponsored by the Centre. There are also records from the office of the Associate Vice-President, Academic, from when he oversaw the operations of the Centre between 1988 and 1991. Other materials originated from the Women's Resources Centre: three folders of reports, correspondence, and photocopied newspaper clippings relating to the 1971 Status of Women conference, and over thirty publications dealing with women's issues.
A 2017 accrual of material more than doubled the size of the fonds. These records included small additions to the following series: Central Office Files, Administrative Committees, and Staff Relations. More significant additions were added to the Projects and Series, Programs, UBC Departments, UBC Committees, and External Bodies series. Additionally, a significant addition to the fonds was made in the resources series, which includes proceedings and course materials.
A 2018 accrual moderately increased the size of the fonds. Some files from folders without the typical alpha-numerical filing system pattern were placed with the Central Office series. Their contents matched the series description, including grant proposals, memos, correspondence, and budget information. Two new series were added, General History and Associate Vice-President Academic (Dr. Walter Uegama). Dr. McClean's series received additions from the 1992 re-organization and the Strategic Planning of 1993. Projects and Studies, UBC Committees, and UBC Departments series received significant additions as well. External Bodies received an increase, primarily related to CAUCE. The Liaison with External Agencies, Policies and Procedures, Programs, Special Events, and Status of Women series received small additions.

The fonds consists of material relating to the foundation and early development of the Department of Fine Arts and other university-related committees and activities in which Binning participated, including the Fine Arts Committee, the Festival of Contemporary Arts, and the development of Nitobe Gardens. It consists of the following series: Biographical Material (1949-1976); Correspondence (1947-1972); Lectures, Articles and "Outside Work" (1948-1968); Committees (1947-1966); Fine Arts Program (1954-1964); Festival of the Contemporary Arts (1961-1971); Subject Files (1946-1958); and Teaching Materials (1949-1971).

Fonds consists of the handwritten manuscript for George Bulhak’s book U.B.C. Panorama, published in 1945. Included are photographs and sketches by Bulhak intended for inclusion in the book and U.B.C. President N.A.M. MacKenzie’s handwritten “Foreword.” The manuscript was written in what was originally a bound ledger – isolated ledger entries can be found on the otherwise blank back pages, indicating that it may have been left as surplus at Burhak’s place of employment when he used it for his manuscript.

The fonds consists of manuscript material, including text and sketches, for an unpublished work by MacDonald entitled Trees of Canada. In addition, the fonds includes 222 sketches of non-Canadian trees as well as two sketchbooks containing pressed leaves.

Fonds consists of photocopies of the wills of Emily Carr (1945) and Ira Dilworth (1954), regarding the ownership of Carr's copyright. The fonds also includes correspondence (1967-1983) from artist Gordon Smith addressed to John Parnall and his family, as well as printed material regarding Smith. Also included are Parnall's certificates of service from the Pacific Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.
