The fonds consists of minutes of meetings, reports, correspondence and proposals created by the Senate and its various committees. In addition, the fonds includes materials relating to the election and appointment of individuals to the Senate. Also included are minutes, correspondence, reports and other records created by affiliated agencies, including the Committee of Military Education of McGill University College (1915), the U.B.C. Faculty Council (1927-1973), and the Executive Council of Convocation (1964-1965). Fonds is arranged in nine series: Senate minutes (1916-2005), Senate reports (1929-2010), Correspondence (1931- 1982), Senate elections (1912-1963), Board of Governors' approvals (1966-1983), Subject files (1915-1981), Affiliation of theological colleges (1921-1984), Senate committees (1915-1990), and External agencies (1915-1973).

The fonds consist of proceedings, correspondence, minutes, reports, statistics, program and course descriptions, proposals, news releases, and publications. Many of the records originated from the Director's Office of the Centre for Continuing Education, and its predecessor, the Department of University Extension. They document these units' functions, activities, policies, and relationships with other University bodies and external agencies. Also included are audio recordings of lectures and other events sponsored by the Centre. There are also records from the office of the Associate Vice-President, Academic, from when he oversaw the operations of the Centre between 1988 and 1991. Other materials originated from the Women's Resources Centre: three folders of reports, correspondence, and photocopied newspaper clippings relating to the 1971 Status of Women conference, and over thirty publications dealing with women's issues.
A 2017 accrual of material more than doubled the size of the fonds. These records included small additions to the following series: Central Office Files, Administrative Committees, and Staff Relations. More significant additions were added to the Projects and Series, Programs, UBC Departments, UBC Committees, and External Bodies series. Additionally, a significant addition to the fonds was made in the resources series, which includes proceedings and course materials.
A 2018 accrual moderately increased the size of the fonds. Some files from folders without the typical alpha-numerical filing system pattern were placed with the Central Office series. Their contents matched the series description, including grant proposals, memos, correspondence, and budget information. Two new series were added, General History and Associate Vice-President Academic (Dr. Walter Uegama). Dr. McClean's series received additions from the 1992 re-organization and the Strategic Planning of 1993. Projects and Studies, UBC Committees, and UBC Departments series received significant additions as well. External Bodies received an increase, primarily related to CAUCE. The Liaison with External Agencies, Policies and Procedures, Programs, Special Events, and Status of Women series received small additions.

Fonds consists of minutes, agendas, financial statements, reports, surveys, publications, news releases, and transcripts relating to Community Relations activities and programs. It also includes subject files containing information concerning UBC organizations. Fonds is organized into ten series: Office Administration, Subject Files, Media Relations, Campus Tours, Films and Scripts, Donors and Financial Aid Programmes, Congregation, Faculty and External CV's (biographical information), Central File Series, President's Report on the Health Sciences, and UBC 75th Anniversary Projects.

The fonds consists of records that document the origins and establishment of the UBC Computing Centre as well as financial, technical, organizational, and administrative records through the time it was known as Computing Services and University Computing & Communications. The fonds consists of the minutes of the original Convocation of UBC held in 1890, minutes of Convocation (1912-1960), election information and programs (1912) and printed material. The minutes and one letter from the 1890 meeting have been placed with the official records of Convocation properly constituted in 1912.

The fonds includes correspondence, minutes, reports, published materials, and photographs. It spans the period between 1957 and 1972, falling within the tenure of Dean Helen McCrae. Fonds consists of minutes from the Dept. of Animal Science (1970-1981), the Department of Poultry Science (1968-1982), and the University Research Farm (Oyster River) Management Committee (1955/56). Also included are records about the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences in general.

Fonds covers an extended period, beginning with administrative material, which includes departmental budgets dating back to the early 1920s and continuing through the 1950s. There are also some departmental minutes from the 1940s and 1950s and most of the 1960s. There are records about the construction and renovation of the Biological Sciences Building, minutes from the various committees on which department heads sat, and material about UBC's Botanical Garden. There is also a brief but useful series of records concerning the Life Sciences Council's implementation and early history.

It appears that the records were re-arranged to facilitate the writing of Gordon Selman's history of the Department, and the original order was lost. The fonds consists of reports and studies generated by Physical Plant and/or Plant Operations for various buildings and facilities between 1968 and 1983, and correspondence, reports, committee minutes, and published materials from UBC Utilities 1958-2001. The records in this fonds relate to both Physical Plant and its later title Land and Building Services.

The fonds consists of records dating from 1907 to 2008, which provide a unique source of information particularly about student-related matters such as grades, university admissions, graduation and examinations. In addition to records generated by the Registrar's Office itself, there are also Faculty records (1915-1963) which were probably maintained by the Registrar who served as the secretary to Senate. The Registrar’s Office also maintained the records of the Senate’s committees, reports, and elections (1912-1930). There are also records related to the Sopron Division of the Faculty of Forestry (1957-2007). These records include handwritten transcripts and correspondence. The records have been largely retained in their physical order in which they were acquired - as a result, records from different series are often inter-filed together, making it difficult to distinguish them with any accuracy. The records on microfilm include correspondence, student registration cards, academic records, and information on scholarships and bursaries dating from 1913 to 1968. The Registrar's Office also collected copies of student examinations. In 1993 copies of student examinations from 1915 to 1969 were microfilmed and the originals destroyed.

The records document the evolution of the School of Architecture, its activities and programmes, and its relations with other architectural institutions and professional bodies. These records reflect the activities of the Club and its committees. Also included are the Society's constitution and by-laws. Fonds consists of eleven series: Constitution and By-Laws, Annual General Meetings, Board of Directors, Committees, Administration, Finance, Physical Plant and Property, Membership, Printed Materials, Special Events, Faculty Club Art Collection, and Faculty Club Architectural Plans.

The fonds consists of correspondence, reports, and minutes of meetings relating to the activities and programs of the Department of Psychology, and photographs of Department Heads and prominent faculty members. Some records date from before the formation of the Department, when the psychology program was still part of the Department of Philosophy and Psychology. Also included are audio recordings of interviews (with typed transcripts) documenting the Department's historical development.

The Historical Files series consists of textual records which document the Department's formative years, and photographs; they had been placed in a box and stored separately from the Department's other records until transferred to the Archives.

Fonds consists of minutes of the M.A.A. executive; correspondence with the A.M.S., the Western Cananda Intercollegiate Athletic Union (W.C.I.A.U.), the various University athletic clubs, and other bodies; financial records; and records of awards given to University athletes.

Fonds consists of material created and received by MUSSOC from 1924 to 1989, including executive minutes, reports and correspondence, along with the constitution and by‐laws, budget statements, advertisements and production brochures. Fonds consists of materials which document and reflect Charles Humphries' involvement with the Historic Sites and Monuments Board, and the Provincial Heritage Advisory Board. The materials include correspondence, reports, minutes (published and unpublished), and agenda papers (published and unpublished). Research materials include typed notes from newspaper articles, photocopies of newspaper articles, papers, transcripts and photocopies from various Canadian and British archives, and copies of death and birth certificates. Fonds also includes some biographical materials. The collection consists of two catalogues (1927, 1935) of ethnological specimens presented by Frank Burnett to UBC and minutes of the University of British Columbia's President's Committee on the Musuem (1941-1944).

Fonds consists of minutes of meetings, correspondence and membership documents relating to Carrier's participation in the Association of British Columbia Librarians.

The fonds consists of six series which contain the following: student publications, curriculum offerings and course descriptions, handbooks, examinations, faculty information, committee meetings, interdepartmental memoranda and correspondence, meeting reports and annual reports, elections, curriculum revisions, reading lists, a “departmental bible,” departmental newsletters and bulletins, departmental meeting minutes, council policy and membership, reorganization proposals, and task force information, notable alumni ephemera, and the UBC Medal for Canadian Biography All records are the results of activities that took place within the Department of English from 1940 to the early 2000s.

Fonds consists of correspondence, minutes, newspaper clippings and other materials documenting the history of the program, promotion of the program and the profession, and the creation of the Research and Development Fund as well as the 1985 fight to save the program from university budget cuts.

Fonds consists of textual records generated throughout Dr. Miller's career with the Department of English. They document his involvement in Departmental affairs and include correspondence with students and other faculty; Departmental memos and newsletters, teaching notes; and committee minutes. The records also illustrate some of his interests and activities outside the Department, including the Faculty of Arts Committee on Student Life; President's Committees on University Lectures, and Spiritual Life; the UBC Anglican-United Campus Ministry, and the Co-operative Christian Campus Ministry; the Humanities Association of Canada; and the Association of Canadian University Teachers of English.
The files are arranged in three series, representing Dr. Miller's spheres of activity: Department of English, University Affairs, and Outside Interests. Some files' contents overlap, particularly those dealing with the lecture committees and those labelled "English Department" and "Departmental Records" - however, the files and their contents were retained in their original order.

The fonds consists of the bound minutes of meetings of the Faculty held between 1915 and 1921. In addition, an oversize bound visitor registry (1959-1993) was acquired in 2020 and can be found in box 2.

Fonds consists of records documenting the programs and activities of the Radio Society / CiTR (including DISCORDER), including textual records and sound recordings of a variety of programs, radio plays, campus events, public service announcements, photographs of the radio studio and from different events, and advertisements produced by the Radio Society for broadcast on its station (CYVR/CiTR) or affiliated radio stations. In addition, the fonds includes recordings of interviews conducted on behalf of the Alma Mater society relating to its art collection. Fonds also consists of materials related to the administration of the radio station including information about licensing, executive meetings, policies, job descriptions, and staff training.

The fonds consists of correspondence, minutes, financial records, course outlines and materials, papers submitted to the Medieval Workshop, and video recordings. The records reflect the Committee's involvement in devising an interdisciplinary course of study (1972-1977) for students interested in the medieval field, and the Committee's role in organizing the annual Medieval Workshop at UBC (1973-1979). The video recordings are from a series entitled Beyond the Memory of Man in which members of the Committee appeared.

The fonds consists of one bound volume containing 57 pages of Agriculture Club minutes for the period 1928-1935.

The fonds primarily consists of textual records, including correspondence, reports, minutes, and published materials which together document Walter Hardwick's political and academic careers. They are arranged in series and sub-series based largely on his areas of activity and interest. The series are Urban Planning, Urban Planning Publications, Vancouver City Council, Open Learning Agency / Knowledge Network, Ministry of Education, Vancouver Urban Futures Project, Sumas Waste Processing Plant Environmental Review, Personal Papers, Essays, Reports and Reprints, and Subject Files. Photographs of architects' models for False Creek and Granville Island are also included. The fonds also includes videotapes consisting mainly of interview footage.

The fonds consists of correspondence with both published and prospective authors, other university presses, distributors, agents and departmental staff, reviews and newspaper clippings about published material; minutes of meetings, and reports of financial standing; grant applications, and program and award descriptions. The fonds has been divided into the following series and sub-series: Correspondence (comprised of the following sub-series: Bill C.Y. Li; Jane C. Fredeman and Tony Blicq; Institute of Pacific Relations); Financial; Committees; Grants, Awards, and Programs; Administration and Organization; Other Publishers, Agents and Distributors; Published Works; and Reviews.

Fonds consists of materials created or received by the UBC Librarians and Archivists Association in the course of its activities, and includes correspondence, reports, minutes, and written notes. It is arranged in four series: General, Salary / Collective Bargaining Committee, Travel Grants Committee, and Subject Files.

Most of this collection was assembled by William Tetlow of the UBC Office of Institutional Analysis and Planning, and consists of President MacDonald’s initial proposal to the Board of Governors and Senate as well as minutes and reports arising from the work of the Committee on Higher Education (1962/63). In addition, there are also copies of numerous briefs presented by community groups from throughout the province. Also included are copies of documents related to the Report, compiled by the President’s Office and sent to Simon Fraser University to help the SFU Archives document the origins of their university, and maintained as a potentially useful historical resource.
