Unpublished Works series

The series consists of manuscripts, correspondence, organization notes, and records related to works that have not yet been published. Works represented in this series include Cedar box Camera, Body Language, “After Thoughts,” “Tourist Overboard,” “The B-Lock,” Green Man, Catapult and Ketchup, Ordinary Ghosts, “The Red-Letter Rainbow,” and The Room with a View.

Unpublished Works series

Series consists of materials documenting Marchak's writing and unpublished work and includes correspondence, written notes, typescripts, reports, and newspaper and magazine clippings. It is arranged in these sub-series: Papers and Speeches, Unpublished Briefs, Research Proposals, and Miscellaneous Unpublished Papers. Within each sub-series, the records have been retained in their original order.

Unpublished material subseries

Subseries consists of drafts of (potential) papers, each individually filed by article title. This series is also related to Quastel's thesis, Quastel's publication lists, and correspondence relating to Quastel's publications.

Unpublished Manuscripts subseries

Subseries consists of notes and drafts, both handwritten and typescript of articles, and books on maps, mapmakers, and mapmaking written by Verner but never published. Materials in Boxes 69 and 70 are fragile, having some fire and water damage.

The fonds consists of records chronicling the history and development of UBC's Research Forests at Point Grey, and Haney, and B.C.'s interior (Cariboo) region. The fonds includes correspondence, reports, proposals, financial records, maps, surveys, blueprints, photographs, and meteorological data. The records also contain information about the operation of the Summer Camp for forestry students (1948-1986).

The list identifies the individuals in the photo.

University Campus and University Endowment Lands Maps and Plans Collection

The collection consists of maps and plans of the University campus and the University Endowment Lands (now Pacific Spirit Park). The collection was started by UBC Library and is now continued by the UBC Archives. The collection is arranged in several series. This series includes correspondence, notes, research, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, invitations, publications, memos and illustrations relating to universities that W.C.Gibson attended and was employed by, including McGill University, University of British Columbia, University of Victoria, and Oxford University.

Universities Council of British Columbia (UCBC) series

The series is a collection of records primarily from Michael Shaw's time as vice-president, with a portion being from AB Gellatly (Vice President of Administrative Services), and as such reflect the responsibilities of the Vice President Academic and Provost complimented by some financial records. The series consists of four sub-series; Committees (minutes, correspondence, notes and accompanying material from various UCBC committees); Office Records – UCBC (subject files grouped loosely by year, consisting of correspondence, agendas, grant information and memoranda, documenting UCBC activities 1985-1987); Curriculum (proposals, correspondence, and development plans for new degree programs at Simon Fraser University and the University of Victoria, documenting how new degrees and programs were conceived and approved of through UCBC); Interior Universities Program (an adjunct to the Universities Council of British Columbia, the Board was responsible for making recommendations regarding the funding and extent of University Programs to be offered in Interior communities – it was succeeded by the Open Learning Institute in 1978 – consists of budget estimates, correspondence from committee members, memos, agendas, and related records documenting the financial development and changing scope of Interior Programs).
