Where correspondence and photographs were stored separately by the records creator, they have been retained together in series according to their document type; otherwise, file integrity has been respected and these materials may be found in other series as well.

A significant amount of material, consisting primarily of copies of photographs obtained by Stacey from various archival institutions, has been removed.

Notebook containing a copy of "The Totem Poles in Stanley Park" by Rev. John C. Goodfellow, photographs taken from "Potlatch and Totem and the Recollections of an Indian Agent" by W. M. Halliday, and letters and photographs of Vancouver artist George Norris. The notebook also contains a cover letter from Leonard A. Woods about the materials in the notebook and some background information about Norris, as well as newspaper clippings and ephemera.

The collection consists of unique and rare materials related to Igor Stravinsky, first edition scores, programs, writings, articles, and newspaper clippings about Stravinsky, and photographs of the composer.

Fonds illustrates Mayrs’s work in visual arts, limited edition book design and publishing, and advertising and PR. It also contains records relating to his personal interests and family history.
The materials are arranged into three series, reflecting his different careers and personal life. Visual art and literary project records include: exhibition ephemera; photographic reproductions of Mayrs’s work; mockups, drafts, and unused material from projects; concepts and designs of unpublished and in-progress works; and correspondence related to his art practice. Advertising and PR project records include ads designed by Mayrs; administrative and ephemeral materials associated with Dome Advertising; and a small number of textual records relating to Mayrs’ work at Lovick BBDO. Personal records include Mayrs’ documentation of his family history; press clippings that profile Mayrs; and other photographs and ephemera that relate to his personal and aggregate professional life.

The collection spans the full range of years that the press was in operation and demonstrates the breadth of their letterpress work.

It contains a series with books such as artists’ books and chapbooks that were printed by the press and another that collects ephemeral material such as greeting cards and promotional material for businesses.

Material Includes a typescript copy of notes for speech given at the Vancouver Rotary Club (1956) entitled “Vancouver in Relation to the Arts.”

The Malcolm Lowry Manuscripts Collection includes textual records, photographs, and a variety of audio-visual materials organized into sous-fonds by creator. The Collection is predominantly textual records; the majority of materials are correspondence and manuscripts, many of which have been microfilmed.

The core of the Malcolm Lowry Manuscripts Collection is the Malcolm Lowry Papers, and the content of the Collection is consequently thematic. Materials pertaining to Malcolm Lowry’s life and works were collected by RBSC from a variety of sources, including Lowry’s friends and family.

It includes incoming personal correspondence from Jane Rule and Helen Sonthoff to Joan Coldwell and Ann Saddlemyer. Also included is a sous-fond, Hedgerow Press – Loving The Difficult, arising from the Press’s publication of Jane Rule’s final book.
It consists of correspondence, contracts, obituaries, publication and promotion materials, including photographs of the book launch on Galiano Island, a digital copy of the work, a bound paper draft, and the 2008 Lambda Literary Award for non-fiction.

The fonds is organized in three series: College And University Papers (including the sub-series Pomona/Stockton Numbered Files, Other College Files, Toward Dissertation & Dissertation I, and Lectures and Other Professional Papers), Personal Papers, and Cooke / Pulpit Publications (including the sub-series Correspondence, Provenance Studies, General Notes, Drafts, and Printouts, and Bound Computer Printouts). Where Spaulding's original arrangements were still apparent and considered practical, they have been retained – otherwise the files are arranged in chronological order.

The fonds consists of records and ephemera pertaining to John Laurence Russell Meredith and his family from 1863 to 1990. Records and ephemera pertaining to his father’s life are of genealogical interest as they provide insight into who he was. Records pertaining to his sister’s death show the painstaking detail the family took in providing a meaningful burial for her. The UBC ephemera provides a glimpse into Laurence’s social life at UBC. The music and theatre programs show his interest in the arts from a young age. The photographs provide valuable information on who his family was, what Laurence liked to do, and the activities in which he participated. His diary, letters received by him, and a list containing the translation of various words and phrases of the language of the Kwakwaka'wakw First Nation provide insight into who he was as a person.

Collection consists primarily of event flyers, programmes and calendars published to promote various performing arts productions at UBC. Also included are companion guides for some theatre productions. Materials are arranged in three categories: Theatre Productions, Musical Productions, and Performing Arts – General. Within each category the materials are organized by department, organization, or production series.

Throughout his education and political careers, the records were generated by William Bruneau and relate both to personal and professional interests.

The fonds also includes four CD’s featuring Jane Rule reading a selection of her short stories including “House,” “A Chair for George,” “Seaweed & Song,” “You Cannot Judge a Pumpkin by the Smile Upon His Face,” “A Migrant’s Christmas,” “If There is No Gate,” “Home Movie,” “Blessed are the Dead,” and “Dulce.” Apparently, the recordings were produced in a small number for distribution to family and friends. The fonds also includes a copy of a videotape entitled Fiction and Other Truths: A Film About Jane Rule (Eds. Lynne Fernie, Aerlyn Weissman).

Fonds consists of materials in various media created or acquired by Joe Schlesinger in the course of his professional career, along with materials documenting or commemorating the Kindertransport programme, and a few items of a more personal nature. It includes textual records such as scripts for his news reports and speeches, correspondence, notebooks, scrapbooks, newspaper and magazine clippings, honorary degrees and other awards, published items, posters, and miscellaneous writings. Also included are photographs, audiovisual recordings, and digital files.

The fonds consists of page proofs for Boggs book entitled The International Trade Balance in Theory and Practice (1922), articles and clippings (1912-1925), and class records (1921-1925).

Fonds consists of departmental records from Anthropology and Sociology (1964-2000); Canadian Sociology and Anthropology Association records (1970-1979); and material relating to the Simon Fraser University dispute concerning the Department of Political Science, Sociology and Anthropology (1969-1971). Ames assembled this group of records through his participation on the C.S.A.A. team, which studied the situation. The papers also include Ames's descriptions of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Museums Association (1980-1983) and the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute (1967-1995). The material relating to the Shastri Institute includes records generated or collected by Ames and other members of the Institute at UBC. The names of other members are indicated in the file title. Also, the fonds contains manuscripts and drafts, records about Ames's research, courses taught by Ames, a variety of conferences and seminars, and records about Ames’ participation in several museum studies program reviews. Finally, the fonds also contain Ames' involvement with the Museum of Anthropology (MOA). Most records as Director and Acting Director of MOA are held at the MOA Archives. Also included are newspaper clippings, posters, musical scores, sound recordings of radio advertisements, rehearsal schedules, rental agreements and professional staff contracts. The records are primarily arranged by production.

Fonds consists of correspondence, financial records, reports and manuscripts relating to projects undertaken by Johnson including the "Directory of Canadian Reports" (1974-1977), a proposed library patrons journal (1980-1981), a proposed international librarians journal (1979-1980), and a multicultural publication entitled "Mozaicanadien" (ca. 1984).

Fonds consists of textual records generated throughout Dr. Miller's career with the Department of English. They document his involvement in Departmental affairs and include correspondence with students and other faculty; Departmental memos and newsletters, teaching notes; and committee minutes. The records also illustrate some of his interests and activities outside the Department, including the Faculty of Arts Committee on Student Life; President's Committees on University Lectures, and Spiritual Life; the UBC Anglican-United Campus Ministry, and the Co-operative Christian Campus Ministry; the Humanities Association of Canada; and the Association of Canadian University Teachers of English.

It includes audiotaped interviews of Rom with notebooks containing descriptions and analysis of the conversations; a computer-generated inventory of kinship ties among hundreds of North American Roma; a transcript of a New York trial (1962) of a Roma fortune teller; miscellaneous printed and published materials on Roma, collected by Cohn; and materials from a correspondence course for learning Romani (1969/70). The research series also contains photographs (1968-74) of Roma taken by Cohn throughout North America and Europe. The Publications series includes copies of Cohn articles (1959-1993) and a bibliography of his works (1950-1993).
