In addition, the fonds includes materials relating to the election and appointment of individuals to the Senate. Also included are minutes, correspondence, reports and other records created by affiliated agencies, including the Committee of Military Education of McGill University College (1915), the U.B.C. Faculty Council (1927-1973), and the Executive Council of Convocation (1964-1965). The fonds consist of proceedings, correspondence, minutes, reports, statistics, program and course descriptions, proposals, news releases, and publications. Many of the records originated from the Director's Office of the Centre for Continuing Education, and its predecessor, the Department of University Extension. They document these units' functions, activities, policies, and relationships with other University bodies and external agencies. Also included are audio recordings of lectures and other events sponsored by the Centre. There are also records from the office of the Associate Vice-President, Academic, from when he oversaw the operations of the Centre between 1988 and 1991. Other materials originated from the Women's Resources Centre: three folders of reports, correspondence, and photocopied newspaper clippings relating to the 1971 Status of Women conference, and over thirty publications dealing with women's issues.
A 2017 accrual of material more than doubled the size of the fonds. These records included small additions to the following series: Central Office Files, Administrative Committees, and Staff Relations. More significant additions were added to the Projects and Series, Programs, UBC Departments, UBC Committees, and External Bodies series. Additionally, a significant addition to the fonds was made in the resources series, which includes proceedings and course materials.
A 2018 accrual moderately increased the size of the fonds. Some files from folders without the typical alpha-numerical filing system pattern were placed with the Central Office series. Their contents matched the series description, including grant proposals, memos, correspondence, and budget information. Two new series were added, General History and Associate Vice-President Academic (Dr. Walter Uegama). Dr. McClean's series received additions from the 1992 re-organization and the Strategic Planning of 1993. Projects and Studies, UBC Committees, and UBC Departments series received significant additions as well. External Bodies received an increase, primarily related to CAUCE. The Liaison with External Agencies, Policies and Procedures, Programs, Special Events, and Status of Women series received small additions.

The fonds consists of two bound sets of records kept by W.J. Anderson who served as department head from 1949 to 1964. The first binder is composed of departmental administrative records, including memos, correspondence, personnel information and committee reports. The second set of material includes correspondence, memos and reports about Graduate Studies from 1951 to 1963.

The fonds consists of the correspondence series, which is all that remains of the records of the Department of Agronomy. During its early years, the Department concentrated mostly on public education and outreach, and the material reflects this, for it includes a large number of inquiries from local farmers and gardeners regarding their crops. It is arranged in an identifiable classification system that is consistently used and developed throughout the years.

There are records about the construction and renovation of the Biological Sciences Building, minutes from the various committees on which department heads sat, and material about UBC's Botanical Garden. There is also a brief but useful series of records concerning the Life Sciences Council's implementation and early history.

The collection consists of student records and correspondence between E.H. Morrow and Fred Sasaki, Oyama Kazuhiko, David Shiozake, Peter Yamada and George Yamashita (1940-1950). The correspondence files provide an account of the treatment accorded Japanese-Canadians in the 1940s. There is also a copy of an article from Viewpoints inspired by the information in the files, as well as some follow-up correspondence with the former students.

It appears that the records were re-arranged to facilitate the writing of Gordon Selman's history of the Department, and the original order was lost. records; professional and vocational education; the humanities and summer school; evening classes, lectures and correspondence courses; supporting services; pamphlets, brochures and course material; and Selman's own research notes. The fonds also includes a large number of photographs primarily from the 1950s and 1960s which depict campus events as well as people and buildings, as well as audio recordings of lectures and other events.

Fonds consists of 10 volumes of purchase requisitions from 1954 to 1958, and a central office correspondence series from 1955 to 1965. The correspondence is informally arranged within a classification system that was inconsistently applied and developed until 1964. Two reference sheets for the subject classification system remain for 1956 and 1963 and are included in the first file for each of those two years. Many of the headings reflect the categories used by the Department of Agronomy. Intermingled with the files of the division are some of the faculty papers of V.C. Brink, the chair of the division. In 1964, the entire system appears to have broken down. From 1964 to 1970 all the division correspondence files were stored in unlabelled file folders the vast majority of which exhibited no internal coherence. Because of the presence of Brink's faculty papers in the files, and because of the absence of the division's classification system, the records from 1964 to 1970 have been arranged and described with Brink's personal papers. For a complete understanding of the functions and activities of the division, these records must also be consulted.

The fonds consists of records dating from 1907 to 2008, which provide a unique source of information particularly about student-related matters such as grades, university admissions, graduation and examinations. In addition to records generated by the Registrar's Office itself, there are also Faculty records (1915-1963) which were probably maintained by the Registrar who served as the secretary to Senate. The Registrar’s Office also maintained the records of the Senate’s committees, reports, and elections (1912-1930). There are also records related to the Sopron Division of the Faculty of Forestry (1957-2007). These records include handwritten transcripts and correspondence. The records have been largely retained in their physical order in which they were acquired - as a result, records from different series are often inter-filed together, making it difficult to distinguish them with any accuracy. The records on microfilm include correspondence, student registration cards, academic records, and information on scholarships and bursaries dating from 1913 to 1968. The Registrar's Office also collected copies of student examinations. In 1993 copies of student examinations from 1915 to 1969 were microfilmed and the originals destroyed.
