The fond consists predominantly of materials reflecting Carney's political life. Records from her years in the Official Opposition (1980-1984) and in government (1984-1988) consist of parliamentary reports, minutes from Neighbourhood Nights and correspondence from constituents. The majority of materials reflect Carney's tenure as Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources (1984-1986), and Minister of International Trade (1986-1988). For dates during the evolution of both the Atlantic and Western Accords, these records include correspondence between Carney and provincial premiers, Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, and provincial Ministers of Energy. Records from the FTA include a copy of the Canada-U.S. Free Trade Agreement, correspondence with Simon Reisman, Finance Minister Michael Wilson, Mulroney, and other Cabinet Ministers. FTA materials also include correspondence and newspaper clippings from the tenth anniversary of the FTA. The records also include copious handwritten notes from Carney's participation on the Priorities and Planning Committee of the Cabinet. The fonds also includes records from State Visits of the Prince and Princess of Wales and American Vice-President George Herbert Walker Bush to Expo 86, as well as State Visits by President and Mrs. Reagan of the United States and President and Mrs. Mitterrand of France. The fonds also contains records documenting Carney's career as a Senator, including a series dedicated to the Task Force on Barriers to Women in the Public Service. Also, the records contain a series of Carney's School of Community and Regional Planning teaching materials as well as limited amounts from both her private life and her career as an economic journalist.

The collection consists of research material for Betty Keller's book, "Pauline: The Life of Pauline Johnson". It includes photocopies of letters to, from, and about Pauline Johnson, copies of printed material, as well as two articles about Johnson. Johnson, also known by her Mohawk stage name Tekahionwake, was a Canadian poet, author and performer who was popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Her father was a hereditary Mohawk chief of mixed ancestry and her mother was an English immigrant.

Fonds reflects Lee’s professional career, investment ventures, engagement with political and social communities, and life with friends and family. It offers particular insight into the social aspects of Lee’s life, as she kept many of the invitations, programs, and other ephemera relating to events that she attended because of her community involvement and philanthropy across all aspects of her life. In addition to a variety of textual records relating to her business ventures, volunteering, and military service, the fonds contains a significant number of photographs that were taken or otherwise collected by Lee and reflect the full range of her life’s facets.

Records include a limited number of original materials from Lee’s period of service; correspondence and other records including meeting minutes and ephemera documenting Lee’s involvement veterans’ advocacy and recognition efforts.
The community and political activity records series relate to Lee’s involvement in Chinese Canadian community projects and the Social Credit and Conservative parties of Canada. Over his career, Cardew designed schools, exhibition buildings for Expo ‘86 held in Vancouver, B.C., condominiums, private homes, office buildings, libraries, art galleries, retail establishments and furniture. Records include slides and photographs of buildings that may have served as inspiration for his designs, as well as those that he designed and built. Records also include building permits for select projects, and an exhibit catalogue for one of his best known exhibitions: Peter Cardew, Ordinary Buildings, an exhibition of his drawings first held in the Charles H. Scott Gallery at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver, B.C. The fonds consists of briefs presented to the Royal Commission on Forest Resources in British Columbia. The Commission received 194 briefs from a wide range of interested societies, firms, professional associations, local governments, labour groups, and other organizations, as well as individuals. The fonds also includes briefs from both the Forest Policy Advisory Committee (1977) which invited submissions reacting to Pearse's final report and from the Select Standing Committee on Forestry and Fisheries (1973). There is also a small collection of speeches by others pertaining to the forest industry (1955-1971).

The fonds consists of partial records of the Port Albion Cannery’s parent companies. In rough chronological order, these are: the Langara Fishing and Packing Company, Ltd.; Nootka Packing Company, Ltd.; Banfield Packing Company, Ltd.; Nootka-Banfield Packing Company, Ltd.; and the Canadian Fishing Company. Records include: invoices, inventories, correspondence, agreements/contracts, licenses, payroll ledgers, government statistics records and copies of legislation (particularly changes made during WWII to staffing and supply chains), and various reports (predominantly production reports). Correspondence is primarily between branches and “head office” and between the various companies and their suppliers, contractors, and government offices mostly concerned with licensing and equipment inspections. Head office appears to refer both to the offices of the Nootka-Banfield Packing Company, Ltd., and later the Canadian Fishing Company, which purchased Nootka-Banfield in 1945, though the Canadian Fishing Company letterhead appears in the records much earlier than 1945. A set of blueprints for bunkhouses is also included in the fonds, though there are no dates or location information appended; as the bulk of the fonds (physically and chronologically) is the Nootka-Banfield records, the blueprints are filed as part of that series.

The fonds consists of records related to the Positive Women’s Network (PWN) various programs and projects, support and educational resources, and operations and administrative activities. The fonds reflects this in the following three series: Operations and Administration, Support and Education, and Programs and Projects.

The Operations and Administration series contains records related to the PWN’s administrative activities and day-to-day operations including the Board of Directors’ policies and procedures, operational budgets and applications for operational funding, correspondence with other organizations, strategic planning for the organization, and organizational budgets.

The records include those necessary to fulfill its functions of managing and administrating the organization, advocating and lobbying, and ensuring safety and security, as well as those used as resources. Resources and subject files span the topics of abortion history in Canada and abroad, legal matters, grey literature, information about similar external organizations, and related topics in the news. Pro-CAN also kept extensive files on anti-choice groups and individuals along with their behaviors, photographs, and letters.
