The Women's Research Centre fonds consists of eleven series. The records deal with various aspects of women's lives and focus on racial, class, and gendered issues such as pay equity, women in the labour force, sexual harassment, immigration and the gendered effects of cultural transition, isolation, women's health and the Tobacco Industry, wife battering, sexual assault, and the strengths and weaknesses of women's shelters, women and the law, political responses to women's situation, and the development of strategies for changing women's lives. The fonds comprises the business records of Sharp & Thompson and later Thompson, Berwick, Pratt & Partners, dating from 1912 to 1974. The records consist of signed contracts, specifications, minutes, correspondence, quotations, financial statements, reports, signed Forms of Tender, memoranda, photographs and architectural drawings. They document the planning and construction of the University of British Columbia buildings designed and overseen by the architectural firm. Also, They document the architectural firm's activities on buildings in Vancouver, the province of British Columbia and elsewhere. Some of the files represent unsuccessful bids on jobs. There are original, blueprint and ozalid architectural drawings in this collection. The drawings of University buildings consist mainly of original drawings and blueprints. The drawings of buildings in Vancouver and elsewhere are few in number and are mostly ozalid reproductions.

Rushton collected this material for the purpose of writing a history of the Holiday Theatre and to document the children's theatre movement in British Columbia. The fonds consists of records generated by the Faculty Association in pursuit of its mandate to promote the welfare of the Faculty and the University of British Columbia. The records were organized according to several filing schemes, which were alphabetical, and constantly changing. Lack of consistency in the arrangement of the records impeded access. The archivist grouped the files into fifteen identifiable series. The original file titles have been retained.

Fonds consists of textual and photographic materials primarily related to Copp's academic career and research, although a small number of personal records are included. The fonds has been arranged into nineteen series: Academic Visits and Visiting Professorships Series, Associations and Memberships Series, Calcitonin Series, Colleagues and Personnel Series, Conferences, Symposia and Workshops Series, Correspondence Series, Curriculum Vitae and Professional Biography Series, Financial Records Series, Honours and Awards Series, Lectures Series, Media Series, Medical Research Council Series, Osteoporosis Series, Personal Series, Photograph Series, Publications Series, Recommendations and References Series, Research Series, and UBC Department of Physiology Series.

Fonds consists of 10 volumes of purchase requisitions from 1954 to 1958, and a central office correspondence series from 1955 to 1965. The correspondence is informally arranged within a classification system that was inconsistently applied and developed until 1964. Two reference sheets for the subject classification system remain for 1956 and 1963 and are included in the first file for each of those two years. Many of the headings reflect the categories used by the Department of Agronomy. Intermingled with the files of the division are some of the faculty papers of V.C. Brink, the chair of the division. In 1964, the entire system appears to have broken down. From 1964 to 1970 all the division correspondence files were stored in unlabelled file folders the vast majority of which exhibited no internal coherence. Because of the presence of Brink's faculty papers in the files, and because of the absence of the division's classification system, the records from 1964 to 1970 have been arranged and described with Brink's personal papers. For a complete understanding of the functions and activities of the division, these records must also be consulted.
