The Business, Personal and Academic Records series contains records related Williams’ business career, personal memories and diaries, pictures and travel memorabilia, and his experiences meeting other politicians. The fonds consists of an album entitled "Caravaning to the Land of the Golden Twilight, June 13 - July 1, 1930," assembled by Miss J.E. Denison. It includes a description of a motoring trip from Blaine, Washington to Hazelton, B.C., then to Vancouver, B.C. The caravan trip involved groups from the United States, Alaska and British Columbia. The B.C. party included Premier S.F. Tolmie, Minister of Mines W.A. Mackenzie and Lieutenant-Governor R.R. Bruce. The purpose of the caravan was to investigate the proposal for an Alaskan highway which would join up with the B.C. highway network.

A prominent portion relates to his lifelong advocacy of Indo-Canadian issues. Particular matters addressed include Sikh extremism, the Khalistan movement, the bombing of Air India flight 182, and the Komagata Maru incident. Many records of a long political career, split between the provincial level; as a BC MLA, attorney general, and premier; and the federal level in the roles Minister of Health and a member of parliament; document the years between 1979 to 2011. These records are wide ranging and diverse in terms of their topics and functions. An extensive collection of scrapbooks contains contemporary media reaction related to Dosanjh's political and community work.

As Pratt held various roles simultaneously throughout her career and much of her union work informed her political career, this overlap is reflected in her files. Records are divided into series based on the role held by Pratt at the beginning of the process, resulting in some record dates falling outside the official boundaries of the role she was working in.

The fonds consists of legal documents collected by John Keenlyside over the last thirty five years. The documents give insight into the formation of British Columbia's legal system when it consisted of two colonies. The legal records (including writs, testimony, judgements, and other court documents) were produced by judges, magistrates, defendants, claimants, and other relevant parties. Some figures of historical significance who created legal records in this fonds are the first judge in BC, the first Attorney General, and BC's earliest clergy, businessmen, and other prominent figures from the colonial period.
