The collection consists of maps and plans of the University campus and the University Endowment Lands (now Pacific Spirit Park). The collection was started by UBC Library and is now continued by the UBC Archives. The collection is arranged in several series. Maps are filed in either map cabinets or with vertical files, depending on their dimensions. Please see the finding aid for an inventory of maps.

The fonds consists of a copy of the society's constitution (1976), newsletters (1970-1997), correspondence (1973-1985), publications (1969-1984), and audio and video tapes and films (1975-1983).

The fonds consists of two series: Photographic and Audiovisual. The photographs were created by Information Services and Community Relations and were transferred to the University Archives by the Public Affairs Office. The photographs are 35 mm negative format and digital-born photos on optical discs. The images document a wide variety of important people, events and activities at the University of British Columbia between 1980 and 1991.

The video and audio recordings ([1966?]-2008) are of events on campus both at UBC Vancouver and Okanagan, including the announcement of the Okanagan campus. The material includes copies of media clips, promotional videos, speeches, the visit of dignitaries such as the Dalai Lama and stock footage. The audiovisual formats include VHS, DVD, Umatic, Betacam sp and unknown optical disc formats. Sound recordings are made up of cassette tapes and compact disc digital audio (CD-DA).

Most of the materials in the original accession were created by Information Services and Community Relations, the predecessor agencies of Public Affairs.

Fonds consists primarily of photographic material (including: black and white and colour photographs and negatives, and colour slides) as well as, pen and ink sketches and textual material. The textual material which spans intermittently between 1976 and 1994, includes reports, work orders, memoranda, drawings and blueprints. The bulk of this material primarily concerns itself with two areas of Departmental activity: teaching and machining; however, other areas to offer representation include the Engineering Undergraduate Society, the Department's photographic unit and faculty research.

The fonds contain materials that document William Fredeman's professional activities and personal life. It consists of correspondence, reports, copies of articles, course materials, a journal, clippings, microfilms and photocopies of original manuscripts, written notes and other research materials, photographs, videocassettes, a set of index cards, and a metal seal bearing the logo of the Journal of Pre-Raphaelite & Aesthetic Studies. The materials are arranged in the following series: Colbeck Collection, JPRAS (Journal of Pre-Raphaelite & Aesthetic Studies), Emily Faithfull and the Victorian Press, Victorian Poetry, T.J. Wise and UBC Materials, Mosher Books, Correspondence, Subject Files, Miscellaneous, Microfilm, and Audiovisual Materials. The photographs and videocassettes are stored separately.

The fonds consists of records generated through the various activities of the Ceremonies Office. Included in the fonds are administrative records (1964-1984) as well as records that document the activities associated with Congregation (1950-2006), building openings (1951-1986) and numerous functions sponsored by the University (1962-1995). The fonds also include information about honorary degree recipients, congratulatory greetings to Presidents K. George Pedersen (1983), David Strangway (1985) and various other ceremonial activities. The fonds consist exclusively of incoming correspondence from writer George Woodcock to Campbell as co-editor of Atropos. With his letters, Woodcock also included four typescript poems and an essay on Simone Weil published in Atropos. Woodcock also sent Campbell a typescript copy of his unpublished play The Floor of the Night.

The fonds consists of correspondence with both published and prospective authors, other university presses, distributors, agents and departmental staff, reviews and newspaper clippings about published material; minutes of meetings, and reports of financial standing; grant applications, and program and award descriptions. The fonds has been divided into the following series and sub-series: Correspondence (comprised of the following sub-series: Bill C.Y. Li; Jane C. The fonds consists of material generated by John Ridington and other members of the Ridington family and includes correspondence (1904-1987), diaries (1917-1980), Ridington family history, and photographs. Also included is a collection of bound copies of John Ridington’s articles and speeches (1911-1944).

The fonds consists of two series biographical information and Do-It-Yourself Chemistry / Home Chemistry. The former includes information about Hayward including articles, CV, copies of publications and a list of his patents. The second series consists of material relating to the development of the Do-It-Yourself Chemistry program. It includes copies of newspaper columns, list of schools visited, samples of thank you letters from students, DIYC publications, photographs showing Hayward with students in various classrooms, and cassette recordings of his CFMI radio show and other interviews.

The fonds primarily consists of textual records, including correspondence, reports, minutes, and published materials which together document Walter Hardwick's political and academic careers. They are arranged in series and sub-series based largely on his areas of activity and interest. The series are Urban Planning, Urban Planning Publications, Vancouver City Council, Open Learning Agency / Knowledge Network, Ministry of Education, Vancouver Urban Futures Project, Sumas Waste Processing Plant Environmental Review, Personal Papers, Essays, Reports and Reprints, and Subject Files. Photographs of architects' models for False Creek and Granville Island are also included. The fonds also includes videotapes consisting mainly of interview footage.

Fonds consists of records generated by Helen Dahlstroms activities in her capacity as a pianist, accompanist, music teacher, choir conductor, examiner, adjudicator, and national, provincial and international arts and music boards. The records relate to personal and administrative daily activities concerning music and the arts, mainly in western Canada and to a lesser extent in the United States, England, France and Africa. The records consist of personal and administrative correspondence, newspaper clippings, concert programs, newsletters of music associations, bibliographies of chief Canadian composers, material relating to music teaching, histories of music associations and musicians, curriculum vitae, speeches, Canadian music sheets, jury lists and schedules of music examinations, music evaluation notes, financial records, grant proposals, promotional material, annual reports of music associations, minutes of meetings of music associations, and miscellaneous material. In addition to the textual records, the fonds consists of a small number of photographs. The records have been arranged into the following series:

The fonds consists of records generated by executive members of CSECS during the first nineteen years of the organisation's existence. The records relate to on-going administrative activities in areas such as membership and finance, to operational activities such as meeting and conference organisation, and to fundraising activities in support of both of these. The records are arranged in the following series: constitution; membership; executive correspondence; grant applications; conferences and annual general meetings; newsletters; financial; related societies; academic exchange programme; publications.

The fonds consists of one bound volume containing 57 pages of Agriculture Club minutes for the period 1928-1935.

The fonds consists of videotapes, films, prints, scripts, notes, shooting schedules, correspondence, proposals, research material, audio tapes, and other records pertaining to Kendall's involvement in various film, television drama and documentary productions. The fonds is arranged according to type of production into the following four series: Feature films, Episodic productions, Documentaries, and Film Festivals.

The fonds consists of records which document William New's publications, lectures, and other activities between 1947 and 2018. Most of the series are based on published works written or edited by New. The remaining records relate to other projects, prizes, awards, papers, conferences, correspondence, or professional interests. Collectively, these records reflect New's various roles as professor, public speaker, editor, author, and poet.

The fonds consists of forty-one interviews with thirty eight colleagues, family, students and friends of Margaret Ormsby. In addition to the 50 cassette tapes there is also general information about the project as well as textual material for each interview consisting of a tape release form signed by the interviewee, a biographical information sheet and a detailed "timed tape guide".

Fonds consists of correspondence, manuscripts, contracts, and reports. The records document the administration of Pacific Affairs, in particular the editorial functions, and are arranged in the following series: Editorial Files, Contracts, Correspondence, Subject Files and Production Files.

The fonds consists of diaries, photographs, articles, speeches and reports, and miscellaneous material, all of which document Frank F. Wesbrook’s personal and professional activities. Also included are a collection of off-prints of scholarly articles relating to a variety of medical topics that Wesbrook collected or in some cases wrote.

The fonds consists of correspondence, revisions, drafts, notes, theses materials, reviews, photographs and negatives pertaining to Messengers personal life, education, career, research and personal interests and the various publications that he was associated with. The fonds also includes game boards, notes, drafts and original word puzzles. Finally, the fonds contains the Ann Parshall Messenger sous-fonds.

The fonds consists of correspondence, research/miscellaneous material, manuscripts/other writings by Chipman, subject file, collected printed/published materials and photographs.

The fonds consists of one album of photographs taken by Sage between September 1945 and August 1946 at a relocation camp near Tashme, B.C. where she was a social worker. The photographs include general views of the scenery, individuals and groups and some smaller buildings. In addition to the camp shots, there are also pictures of Japanese Canadians preparing for relocation. The album also includes a newspaper clipping, post card and a typescript article about the Tashme Camp. The fonds also includes a small body of correspondence written by Margaret Sage to her parents Walter and Nelda Sage and to her brother Donald (1945/46).

The fonds consists of records which document Edgar Wickberg's research on Chinese land tenure systems and rural society, and the history of Chinese communities overseas. Materials include research notes, correspondence, computer printouts, newspaper and magazine clippings, photocopies of both archival documents and scholarly articles, and file cards and notes stored in file card boxes. The series are Land Tenure (divided into sub-series by region), Rural Localities in China, Chinese in Canada, Chinese in the United States, and File Cards.

The fonds consists of lectures (1961-1987) and publications (1961-1989) by Aguzzi-Barbagli. It also includes a series of correspondence with Paul Oskar Kristeller (1959-1994) and some miscellaneous research materials.

The fonds consists of two series: the Roma Research series and a Publications series composed of copies of Cohn's publications. The first series includes material generated or collected by Cohn in the course of researching Roma. It includes audiotaped interviews of Rom with notebooks containing descriptions and analysis of the conversations; a computer-generated inventory of kinship ties among hundreds of North American Roma; a transcript of a New York trial (1962) of a Roma fortune teller; miscellaneous printed and published materials on Roma, collected by Cohn; and materials from a correspondence course for learning Romani (1969/70). The research series also contains photographs (1968-74) of Roma taken by Cohn throughout North America and Europe. The Publications series includes copies of Cohn articles (1959-1993) and a bibliography of his works (1950-1993).

The fonds consists of correspondence, minutes, financial records, course outlines and materials, papers submitted to the Medieval Workshop, and video recordings. The records reflect the Committee's involvement in devising an interdisciplinary course of study (1972-1977) for students interested in the medieval field, and the Committee's role in organizing the annual Medieval Workshop at UBC (1973-1979). The video recordings are from a series entitled Beyond the Memory of Man in which members of the Committee appeared.

Fonds consists of records documenting the programs and activities of the Radio Society / CiTR (including DISCORDER), including textual records and sound recordings of a variety of programs, radio plays, campus events, public service announcements, photographs of the radio studio and from different events, and advertisements produced by the Radio Society for broadcast on its station (CYVR/CiTR) or affiliated radio stations. In addition, the fonds includes recordings of interviews conducted on behalf of the Alma Mater society relating to its art collection. Fonds also consists of materials related to the administration of the radio station including information about licensing, executive meetings, policies, job descriptions, and staff training.

The fonds consists of indexes and research notes to sources of information about women at UBC, recordings of oral histories, and a photograph.

Fonds consists of eleven black and white photographic prints of various sizes, showing Gavin Dirom and various other UBC rugby and track athletes Vic Oldum, Oliver Camozzi, and coaches Norm Burley and Gordon "Doc" Burke.

The fonds consists of correspondence, manuscripts, clippings and publications created or collected by Beatrice Cooke and her husband, Albert. The fonds also consists of correspondence written and received by Albert's father, Rev. Walter A. Cooke, including correspondence with Emily Carr. The fonds also include correspondence, photographs, clippings, and biographical material created by or relating to the Brender á Brandis family, a family of artists and writers with which Albert and Beatrice Cooke were acquainted. Fonds consists of two series: Brender á Brandis family (1963-1987) and the Cooke family (1860-1981).

The fonds consists of the bound minutes of meetings of the Faculty held between 1915 and 1921. In addition, an oversize bound visitor registry (1959-1993) was acquired in 2020 and can be found in box 2.

Fonds consists of several essays and one publication. It includes an annotated copy of a paper written by St. Clair-Sobell, an essay about Leo Tolstoy, a biography of Ornest D. Durnovo with related correspondence, and written remarks by a Soviet commentator on one of St. Clair-Sobell's papers. The publication is a course calendar from Karl-Franzens-Reichsuniversitat (University of Graz, in Austria) for the winter semester 1944/45.

Fonds consists of a variety of materials, but the focus is on the literary works of Geoffrey Riddehough and includes drafts, manuscripts, and publications of his poetry and short stories. The fonds also contains a number of academic essays, research materials on Joseph of Exeter, and papers that Riddehough presented to various groups. There is also correspondence of both a professional and personal nature. Fonds consists of notes, correspondence, reports, and drafts produced by Shearer and others related to his participation in the Standing Committee on National Finance, The Academic Advisory Committee on Constitutional Reform, written briefs on the revision of banking legislation in Canada in 1977 and the Senate ad hoc Committee on University Organization.

Fonds consists of textual records generated throughout Dr. Miller's career with the Department of English. They document his involvement in Departmental affairs and include correspondence with students and other faculty; Departmental memos and newsletters, teaching notes; and committee minutes. The records also illustrate some of his interests and activities outside the Department, including the Faculty of Arts Committee on Student Life; President's Committees on University Lectures, and Spiritual Life; the UBC Anglican-United Campus Ministry, and the Co-operative Christian Campus Ministry; the Humanities Association of Canada; and the Association of Canadian University Teachers of English.
The files are arranged in three series, representing Dr. Miller's spheres of activity: Department of English, University Affairs, and Outside Interests. Some files' contents overlap, particularly those dealing with the lecture committees and those labelled "English Department" and "Departmental Records" - however, the files and their contents were retained in their original order.

The fonds consists of correspondence, minutes of meetings, and reports relating to the various committees on which Anna Leith served during her career in the UBC Library system. In particular, the fonds contains material relating to the Woodward Library, the UBC Health Sciences Centre and the B.C. Medical Centre.

Fonds consists of correspondence, minutes, newspaper clippings and other materials documenting the history of the program, promotion of the program and the profession, and the creation of the Research and Development Fund as well as the 1985 fight to save the program from university budget cuts.

Fonds consists of correspondence, financial records, reports and manuscripts relating to projects undertaken by Johnson including the "Directory of Canadian Reports" (1974-1977), a proposed library patrons journal (1980-1981), a proposed international librarians journal (1979-1980), and a multicultural publication entitled "Mozaicanadien" (ca. 1984).

Fonds consists of clippings, brochures, correspondence, and photographs relating to Fowler's activities as a UBC student. Also included are programmes from various university events, including the inauguration of UBC's Point Grey campus (1925). The fonds also contains programmes of performances of the UBC Players' Club (1928-1935) and the UBC Musical Society (1923-1933).

Fonds consists of textual records created in the course of the Department's activities, as well as some published materials describing its programs. Fonds contains committee reports, correspondence, and subject files, as well as published materials describing its programs and correspondence of its faculty members including Michael Futrell, Barbara Hedt, Peter Petro, Ncholas Poppe, Irina Rebrin, Irina Reid and Chris Turner and Bogdan Czaykowski.

Fonds consists of laboratory manuals published by the UBC Department of Physics between 1949 and 1966 (most dated 1957-1962); mimeographed hand-outs for experiments and other assignments; hand-written lecture notes; and a 1944 Canadian Army physics laboratory manual. Many of the manuals are annotated. The manuals are bound, but the notes and hand-outs are loose; all have been placed in acid-free folders. They are arranged by course number, and then chronologically; unnumbered materials, and folders containing unsorted material from various courses, were placed at the end.
Fonds also includes promotional materials, many of which relate specifically to the Department of Physics at university-wide Open Houses, annual reports from the Department of Physics, notes made by Professor John Warren regarding x-rays and particle physics, as well as photographs taken of individuals, groups, and events related to the Department of Physics.

The fonds consists of six series which contain the following: student publications, curriculum offerings and course descriptions, handbooks, examinations, faculty information, committee meetings, interdepartmental memoranda and correspondence, meeting reports and annual reports, elections, curriculum revisions, reading lists, a “departmental bible,” departmental newsletters and bulletins, departmental meeting minutes, council policy and membership, reorganization proposals, and task force information, notable alumni ephemera, and the UBC Medal for Canadian Biography All records are the results of activities that took place within the Department of English from 1940 to the early 2000s.

Fonds consists of correspondence and reports relating to de Bruyn's duties as a member of the Department of English at UBC. The fonds also include incoming personal correspondence from Roy Daniells (including verses), Earle Birney, Margaret Laurence, Dorothy Livesay and Ethel Wilson. Also included are records from the Lifewriters: copies of stories, correspondence, financial records, and newspaper clippings.

Fonds consists of minutes of meetings, correspondence and membership documents relating to Carrier's participation in the Association of British Columbia Librarians.

Fonds consists of correspondence relating to Butterfield's tenure as editor of Canadian Books in Prints (1966-1967) and the journal Canadian Literature (1971-1973).

The fonds consists of a report of coordination efforts between the University of British Columbia Departments of Education and Agriculture (1917), Convocation programs (1926), miscellaneous Senate records relating to funding cutbacks (1931-1933) and materials from the Student Publicity Campaign (1931-1932).

Fonds consists of correspondence, reports, teaching materials, notes and manuscripts for speeches, and publications acquired by Kenneth Argue in his professional career, personal papers, clippings, and photographs. The photographs are of family members, and friends and colleagues from outside UBC. The materials are arranged in the following series: Publications and Speeches, Course Materials, Personal Papers, and Photographs.

The fonds consists of biographical material, family information, correspondence, speeches, publications, subject files, teaching and reference material, photographs, audio and videotapes and artifacts. The fonds also includes various forms of Black's artwork. A copy of a Black family history published by Myra Davey (née Black) in 2006 had a CD of digitized images.
