The fonds reflects the efforts of Bob Williams’ political and business career. Records in the fonds relate to Williams’s various roles: teacher, M.L.A., community planning consultant, Minister, chair of ICBC, and Secretary of Crown Corporations. As such, the records relate both to Williams’ personal career as well as British Columbia's governmental systems of resource management, transportation, forestry, energy, housing, and recreation. Correspondence is featured throughout the fonds; other records types include reports, studies, speeches, notes, legal agreements, bills, acts, notebooks, daily journals, travel memorabilia, presentation materials, photographs, VHS tapes, audio cassettes, optical discs, news clippings, scrapbooks, and transcripts of interviews. The fonds is comprised of four series; Alderman and Member of Legislative Assembly records, Ministry of Forests, Lands, and Water Resources Records series, Crown Corporations Records series, and Business, Personal, and Academic Records series.

The Alderman and Member of Legislative Assembly Records consists of material related to Williams' roles as Alderman of the City of Vancouver and later as M.L.A. for East Vancouver. Records include letters, faxes, telegrams, newspaper clippings, reports, speeches, notes and other related material.

The Ministry of Forests Lands and Water Resources Records series relates to Williams's time spent on the provincial cabinet working under the government of Dave Barret. Records consist primarily of correspondence, especially between Williams and major corporations and individuals in the forest industry. Other records include reports, studies, news clippings, bills and acts, speeches, presentation materials, and transcripts.

The Crown Corporations records series is comprised of documents stemming from Williams' activities as chair of ICBC, and his work in the Crown Corporations. Many records relate to the construction of Surrey City Centre. Record types include correspondence, reports, legal documents, and news clippings.

The Business, Personal and Academic Records series contains records related Williams’ business career, personal memories and diaries, pictures and travel memorabilia, and his experiences meeting other politicians. Record types include planning consultant studies, correspondence, interviews, and materials from his academic career including course outlines and reading lists.

The fonds consists of correspondence, reports, scrapbooks and printed material relating to O'Neal's activities, mainly in the field of union organization (ca. 1965-1975).

The fonds consists of the Simson family tree, a history of Calvert Simson, a typescript entitled To Shear the Dark Shores (1973) by Peter Trower and Joe Simson, notes on logging on Vancouver Island and the North Shore, a typescript of taped interviews about Vancouver and various personalities of the era before 1900, a typescript of a taped interview by David Conn with Jim Campbell regarding the Coal Harbour marine industry, documents of the Simson (Calvert) family including commissions, correspondence, indentures, other legal documents and death certificates.

The fonds includes business and ministerial correspondence, legal documents, the records of Robert A. Grant, a materials cost price diary (1927) and daily journals (1925, 1926, 1935).

The fonds consists of a notebook, notes, clippings, reports, speeches, correspondence, subject files, and printed material relating mainly in his union activities and concerns over safety issues on the job and leadership issues in the union. There are subject files relating to his union trial when he was suspended for actions detrimental to the best interests of the IWA that pertain to the disagreements between the "reds" and "whites" factions within the IWA in the 1940s.

The fonds primarily includes records that were produced and acquired by Greenpeace Canada, such as research and publications to support their campaigns and projects. Notably, this includes jointly produced documents with other environmental non-governmental organizations (ENGOs) to coordinate their efforts in Clayoquot Sound and the Great Bear Rainforest. The records of Greenpeace International within this fonds reflect their broader campaigns to inform people and shape public opinion to oppose the clearcutting of old growth forests in Canada and elsewhere in the World. Records by Greenpeace Canada primarily include their efforts to cooperate with environmental non-governmental organizations, First Nations, forestry companies, and governments to achieve greater protection for old growth forests. The primary types of records include reports, communications, legal advice, court cases, planning materials, photographs, maps, ephemera, and posters. Most of the records in this fonds produced by Greenpeace Canada is from their Vancouver office. The fonds is organized into the following series: Clayoquot Sound Campaign and Protests (1980-2017), Great Bear Rainforest Campaign and Protests (1980-2017), Forest Stewardship Council (1992-2017), Rainforest Solutions Project (1991-2017), Research and Resource Collection (1979-2017), Ephemera and Posters (1993-2016), Maps (1964-2015), and Multimedia (1988-2007).

Fonds also includes lecture notes, outlines and other materials relating to courses taught by Haddock at University of Washington, University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University (1954-1982). In addition, the fonds contains records of his participation with the UBC Speakers Bureau (1976-1987) and subject files. Fonds represents the function and activities performed by the Council of Forest Industries. The fonds consists of committee meeting minutes, reports, statistics, newsletters, news releases, advertisements produced by the organization, agreements, governance records, briefs, bulletins, correspondence and memoranda, financial records, conference material, legal documents, mills lists, records relating to the International Trade Commission, films and audio material created to train and promote forestry in British Columbia and in Canada, and photographs depicting different mining areas and members of the organization.

The fonds itself is divided into twenty series: circulars, memoranda and correspondence, advertisements, reports, statistics, lists, legal documents, agreements, briefs, bulletins, committees, International Trade Commission, financial records, governance, minutes, newsletters, news releases and audio-visual material.

The fonds consists of two minute books for the Lamb Lumber Company, 1912-1960, and one minute book for the Lamb Investment Company, 1928-1963.

The fonds consists of an incomplete run of annual reports (1906-1950) for the Victoria Lumbering and Manufacturing Company in Chemainus, B.C.

Fonds consists of documents spanning Bunce’s career in the forestry sector, covering both his paid and volunteer work. The bulk of the material relates to his work as a forestry consultant at Reid, Collins & Associates and his work on several national forestry committees. Additional material relates to his years as a graduate student, his early career, his involvement with various professional associations, and his years as part owner of a woodlot near Maple Ridge, BC. Also included are articles he published and notes from presentations that he gave.

The archivist removed some documents that had come with the original donation, but that did not have significant value. These included duplicates, published material available elsewhere, personal documents (such as hotel reservations and journal subscription receipts), and loose documents that had no context. Also removed were documents that contained personal and/or confidential information, such as school transcripts of individuals besides Bunce and private documents of company's for whom Bunce did consulting work.

Some works that Bunce had collected, but not authored, were removed from this fonds and added to the library’s general collection.

The fonds consists mainly of subject files created by Anthony Gargrave in his work as a CCF MLA for the riding of Mackenzie, British Columbia, 1952-1958. Some of the subject areas include forestry, fishing, parks, education, municipal affairs, and Indian affairs.

Records primarily include research on various individuals involved in the forest industry of British Columbia from the 1930s to the 1970s. These research materials have been gathered and organized by members of the association and include original photographic prints, photograph reprints, correspondence, and written or recorded oral testimonies and interviews.

Contains photographs and textual records related to MacMillan Bloedel Limited, collected by Ralph Shaw Sr., who was an employee at the company.

The fonds consists of records collected by Clay Perry related to the International Woodworkers of America – Canada (IWA). It primarily consists of records generated by the union in the course of its operation, records created by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, who gathered surveillance on the IWA-Canada and its predecessors for several years, as well as research material collected and created by Perry himself, including transcripts of interviews, news clippings, scrapbooks, and pamphlets and booklets on unions in British Columbia.
The fonds is comprised of the following series: Union records series; Legal records and police files series; and Research materials series.

The Union records series contains records related to the main functions of the IWA, the WIUC, and IWA local chapters, including Local 1-357, of which Perry was a member. These functions included: financial administration, executive elections, producing literature and newsletters, strike activities, and correspondence. Record types include constitutions and by-laws of the union, conference materials, minutes of meetings, press releases, informational pamphlets, correspondence, bulletins and newsletters, news clippings, and executive reports.

The Legal records series contains records related to the IWA’s legal activities, including court disputes over negotiations, strikes, and employee and bargaining rights. It also contains records generated by the RCMP in gathering information on the IWA. Record types include court records, appeals, depositions, legal acts, and police reports on union activity.

The Research materials series comprises materials collected or created by Perry in his research of the history of the union. The series contains news-clippings and scrapbooks related to the IWA and the labour movement in Canada, research notes, transcripts of interviews and oral histories given by union members, publications related to the IWA, the labour movement, and communism, and theses of labour scholars on the IWA.

The fonds consists of John Goodwin’s professional career at MacMillan Bloedel. The bulk of the records relate to the Pine Hill, Alabama project by the Linerboard and Packaging Group. Additional records relate to pre-planning and long range studies on viability of production outside of B.C., including the US and UK sites. Several other projects included in this fonds relate to the Powell River region project, the Bag and Specialty division, and the Bulk Packaging division of MacMillan Bloedel. Specific administrative record types include: business assessments, historical reports, inter-office memos, strategy reviews, proposals, management strategies, strategic direction and long-range plans, and presentations.

The fonds consists of financial records of the Humbird family and records of various companies in which they had interests, including: Victoria Lumber and Manufacturing Company, Limited; Clearwater Timber Company; Humbird Lumber Company, Limited; Jacob Humbird Holding Company; White River Lumber Company; and Seaboard Shipping Company Limited.

Fonds also includes photographs, family financial records (distinct from company financial records), legal records, maps, correspondence, and press clippings. Photographs include photograph albums of the Victoria Lumber and Manufacturing Company Limited, an album of photographs pertaining to the family's interests in Mason and Clayton, Wisconsin, and Sandpoint, Idaho, and photographs of family members and employees of the companies. Family financial records include records pertaining to the estates of Jacob Humbird and the elder John A. Humbird, as well as financial record books of John A. Humbird and Thomas J. Humbird. Legal records include contracts, tie notices and permits, wills, and various land use records. Some maps show various company holdings, others are road maps. Correspondence is divided between company business and historical research about the companies (by family members). Press clippings are predominantly about the Chemainus and Mason operations.

The fonds consists of records chronicling the history and development of UBC's Research Forests at Point Grey, and Haney, and B.C.'s interior (Cariboo) region. The fonds includes correspondence, reports, proposals, financial records, maps, surveys, blueprints, photographs, and meteorological data. The records also contain information about the operation of the Summer Camp for forestry students (1948-1986).

The collection consists of materials collected or acquired from various sources that document the history of the Sopron Division of Forestry and its alumni. In addition, it includes a set of the Kapocs Sopron alumni newsletter.
