The fonds consists chiefly of Wiliam Hale White's correspondence with family and friends, manuscript notebooks of his books, published and unpublished manuscripts, subject files, clippings, and bound pamphlets on a variety of philosophical and religous topics. The fonds also contains the correspondence of Dorothy Vernon White as well as notebook manuscripts of her books and the correspondence of Cecily Hale-White (daughter of John Hale White).

The fonds consists of records produced by Jim Wong-Chu, records associated with Jim Wong-Chu's involvement in various cultural and artistic communities in Vancouver, British Columbia, San Francisco, California, and other areas in the northwestern United States and Canada.

In particular, the fonds includes records related to: Canadian cultural and literary communities; Asian Canadian writers; social justice and historical issues related to discrimination of Chinese and other Asian ethnic groups; and Canada and Vancouver's Chinese and other Asian cultural communities.

The fonds has been arranged into the following 9 series: Asian American communities; Asian Canadian communities; Asian Canadian Writers Workshop; Correspondence; Go for Broke Festivals; Manuscripts; Personal works; Personal Records; Vancouver Asian Heritage Month Society; and Vancouver Chinese Cultural Centre.

In addition to the series listed above, there is one sub-fonds which includes records created by Garrick Chu, a close-friend and colleague of Jim Wong-Chu.

The main types of records within the fonds include correspondence, meeting minutes, schedules, manuscripts, posters and event flyers, photographs, event programs, financial statements and budgets, publications and articles, reports, conference proceedings, and speeches.

The fonds consists of three certificates of graduation from the University of London Slade School of Fine Arts, a photograph (1905) of Davies in her childhood and a manuscript notebook written in the 1930s filled with observations about wildlife in British Columbia.

The fonds consists of the diary entries of Alice Maud Burge from January 1, 1931 - November 14, 1948 (1424 pages). They contain the record of a remarkable women whose resourcefulness, affection and good humour sustained her family thorugh difficult times. As well, her daily record, thoughts and observations offer a window on family and community life in the West Kootenays.

The fonds consists of typescript memoirs of Kirby's experience as an English tutor in Russia. The memoirs chronicle life in Russia from 1879 to 1883 and also the subsequent experiences of one of the Alexieff children, Princess Vera Urusov, who suffered tremendous personal hardships during the Russian Revolution.

The fonds consists of a typescript of Grossman's memoirs as a homesteader in Fort St. John, B.C. (1930-1956) and photographs.

The fonds consists of Flesher's unpublished memoirs entitled "Timber: The Log of a Western Logger" with revised drafts by Elsie McGill. The manuscript provides an account of the British Columbia logging industry from 1912 to 1965. The fonds also includes five journals (1934-1969), correspondence (1946, 1965-1972), legal documents (1904-1912), photographs of Flesher's family and early logging career and printed material. Most of the records relate to his activities in the Phillips Arm area.

The fonds consists of a family history, correspondence, the legal documents of Sir Joseph Trutch, diaries and financial reports of John Trutch and transcripts from Charlotte Morgan-Kelly. The fonds deals with personal matters, the career of Sir Joseph Trutch as civil engineer and public official and the engineering career of John Trutch.

The fonds consists of the Simson family tree, a history of Calvert Simson, a typescript entitled To Shear the Dark Shores (1973) by Peter Trower and Joe Simson, notes on logging on Vancouver Island and the North Shore, a typescript of taped interviews about Vancouver and various personalities of the era before 1900, a typescript of a taped interview by David Conn with Jim Campbell regarding the Coal Harbour marine industry, documents of the Simson (Calvert) family including commissions, correspondence, indentures, other legal documents and death certificates.

The fonds consists primarily of records relating to two specific areas of Larry Wong’s life – his writing and his interest in Chinese-Canadian History. Wong’s writings date as far back as his university days through to the publication of his book Dim Sum Stories: A Chinatown Childhood in 2011. Records reflect Wong’s time as the Director of the Chinese Canadian Military Museum Society and as a tour guide through Vancouver’s Chinatown. The fonds also includes personal documents and ephemera, including information relating to the immigration of both of his parents from China.

The fonds is divided into three series: Writings, Chinese-Canadian History and Personal documents and ephemera. Records consist of short stories, university writing assignments, newspaper articles, book proposals, screenplays, biographies, published works, grant applications, newspaper clippings, stamps, magazine articles, Cantonese language course materials, photographs, negatives, slides, photograph albums, scrapbooks, CDs, DVDs, a beret, pins, correspondence, report cards, certificates, magazine articles, journals, diaries, newspaper clippings, a chapbook, postcards, telegrams, cufflinks, a clothing pattern, a shadow box, and a medal.

The fonds consists of a diary of Royce's activities at Christina Lake (1934-1943), including some financial accounts and weather reports for the winters of 1935/36 and 1936/37. The diary also lists the names of many families in the area.

The fonds consists of reminiscences, clippings, letters and poetry (1902-1964).

The fonds consists of Winson's correspondence, a personal reminiscence of Winson by his wife (Ethel Leaf Winson), and another memoir entitled "From Small Beginnings," together with a historical account of Lady Tweedsmuir's visit to Abbotsford in 1939. In addition, there are other brief manuscript memoirs by Mrs. Winson, clippings of J.W. Winson's journalistic articles (some relating to A.W. Findlay), miscellaneous clippings, documents confirming Winson's various appointments and the copyright to Wildwood Trails.

The fonds consists of drafts, research notes, galley proofs, and other materials related to Stephen's book "Winged Canoes at Nootka and Other Stories of the Evergreen Coast," as well as typed transcripts from her radio programs "Indian Trails," "Story Time," and other pieces of reporting. The fonds also includes creative writing drafts - short stories, radio dramas, and plays adapted for radio - and research related to an unpublished book about Alberta. Personal files include photographs, correspondence, and historical family records dating back to the 19th century. Materials related to Stephen's involvement with the Canadian Women's Press Club and the Vancouver branch of the Canadian Authors Association are also part of this fonds.

The fonds consists of photographs and textual records which belonged to the Inouye family. The records are related mostly to the father, Zennosuke Inouye and his involvement with the Surrey Berry Farmers Cooperative and his youngest daughter, Kiyooki (Beverly) Inouye. The fonds has been arranged into the following series: Surrey Berry Farmers Cooperative records, correspondence, ephemera, land records, photographs, military records, financial records, and voting records.
