The collection consists of research material for Betty Keller's book, "Pauline: The Life of Pauline Johnson". It includes photocopies of letters to, from, and about Pauline Johnson, copies of printed material, as well as two articles about Johnson. Johnson, also known by her Mohawk stage name Tekahionwake, was a Canadian poet, author and performer who was popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Her father was a hereditary Mohawk chief of mixed ancestry and her mother was an English immigrant.

The fonds consists of a typescript of Dent's article on B.C.'s first nurses' strike in 1980, two articles on nurses' collective bargaining, and a staff representative manual for the Registered Nurses' Association of B.C. (1978). Also included is a typescript entitled "The Beginning", which details the history of the collective bargaining of nurses.

The fonds consists of the Simson family tree, a history of Calvert Simson, a typescript entitled To Shear the Dark Shores (1973) by Peter Trower and Joe Simson, notes on logging on Vancouver Island and the North Shore, a typescript of taped interviews about Vancouver and various personalities of the era before 1900, a typescript of a taped interview by David Conn with Jim Campbell regarding the Coal Harbour marine industry, documents of the Simson (Calvert) family including commissions, correspondence, indentures, other legal documents and death certificates.

The fonds consists of handwritten drafts of mining stories told by Stanley Hunter to the West End Talespinners at Barclay Manor, 1997 - 2002. In addiion, he wrote memoirs about his experiences in the mining industry including the Granduc Mine Story.

The collection consists of postcards, memorabilia, photographs, printed articles, other printed material and a recruitment letter, 1929, relating to the activities of the force and its various anniversaries and highlights.

Fonds documents the administrative, financial and publication activities of the LHA, including the production of the film "For Twenty Cents a Day"; the slide-sound programs "These Were the Reasons..."and "Strike", both about the history of union organizing in BC; and ten issues of the journal "Labour History". Records include meeting minutes, correspondence, financial records and related material pertaining to the activities of the LHA.

The fonds consists of records reflective of W. Randle Iredale’s career as a professional architect, spanning approximately 1955 to 2000, predominant between 1960-1970. Specific projects that are reflected in the records include: the Portage Mountain Development Project, Hydro Tourist Lookout, Downtown Stadium Centennial, Westcoast Transmission Building, UBC Sedgewick Undergraduate Library, Vancouver Downtown Stadium, Vancouver’s Park Site 19 Project and St. Francis Construction Project.

A large portion of the material is reflective of the Portage Mountain Development Project, a large hydro-electric project at Portage Mountain in north-east British Columbia. The following projects, which were all part of the Portage Mountain Development Project, are reflected in the fonds: the Portage Mountain Lookout Building, Portage Mountain Control Building, Portage Mountain Power House, Hudson’s Hope Housing and George W. Pearkes Elementary School.
Records are arranged generally according to project, keeping the original filing system of the creator.

The majority of the fonds consists of photographs, negatives, slides and architectural drawings pertaining to project sites, spanning primarily from the 1960s to the 1990s. Textual records in the fonds primarily consist of correspondence, publicity material and publications pertaining to the projects completed by Rhone & Iredale Architect and the Iredale Partnership.

Fonds consists of records spanning the period 1888-1937 relating to Charles Spring’s claims for financial losses as a result of the renewal of the “Modus Vivendi” banning pelagic sealing in the Bering Sea for the 1892-1893 season, and supporting documentation both prepared by and compiled by Spring. Records relating to Spring’s pursuit of his claims include draft and final statements of claim; draft and final petitions, memorials, statements, memoranda, and declarations; incoming and outgoing correspondence; notebooks; accountings and lists of expenses; Pelagic Sealing Commission oaths; reports; newspaper clippings, receipts, and other ephemera; and related notes and documents. Supporting documentation compiled by Spring was generated by the sealing industry, his own sealing enterprise, and as a result of the collapse of his business. These records include ledgers and journals; log books; certificates and licenses; sales, ownership, and insurance documents; receipts and financial documents; reports; court papers and police charges; correspondence and notices; and related notes and documents. The fonds also consists of personal papers not directly related to Spring’s sealing claims, including correspondence, copies and originals of photographs, and other documents.

The collection consists of photocopies of legal and financial documents including receipts, promissory notes, orders, agreements which relate to the business transactions of Kwong Lee and Company, Sansum Copper Mining and the Grouse Creek Flume Company.

The fonds reflects Bernard and Jean Webber’s functions as leading members of the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation, teachers and education administrators, and advocates for local arts, history and Indigenous cultural regeneration. Materials related to Indigenous arts, education and reconciliation are found throughout the fonds. Publicity materials relating to her literary work, tours, reviews, presentations, performances and instructional sessions developed by McCaslin are included in the fonds. The fonds also includes materials created and received through McCaslin’s personal collaborations with fellow artists and authors, community work relating to the environment and her involvement with religious communities and other subject areas.
