Fonds consists primarily of textual materials related to Herring's forestry career. Materials related to his extensive interest in the forestry industry are also present, including documents related to various lectures and conferences in which he participated. Materials include correspondence, reference materials, maps, blueprints, financial documents, handwritten notes, and more.

Also included in the fonds are photographs, slides, and moving images; some of these are images related to forestry, while most show scenes related to Herring's personal interests and travels, many of which involve hunting and fishing, or attending Highland games and other cultural celebrations and events.

Fonds consists of records related to the documentary film which Ewashen directed entitled In search of utopia: the Doukhobors, produced under the name Gemini Cooperative for the Performing Arts. Other individuals involved in the film included Ray Gallon, Koozma Tarasoff and Ken Innes. Records consist of two copies of the film on reels, a shot book containing copies of historical photographs and correspondence, contracts and other textual records related to the production and promotion of the film, and a teacher’s manual and study guide.

Fonds consists of personal documents created and kept by Stefan Arnason, mostly in the form of diaries which document his family’s life from 1936 until his death in 1956. Some earlier diary entries, from 1906-1912, document Arnason’s life before his marriage, in Winnipeg and Piney. Diary entries pay particular attention to employment, family occasions and important events, and the weather. Fonds also contains some loose correspondence and notes, and several notebooks which appear to have been used during Arnason’s school days (including one “Nokkur sönglög,” containing Icelandic songs).

The collection consists of documents, archival records, photographs, ephemera and artifacts related to three broad themes: British Columbia history, immigration and settlement and the Canadian Pacific Railway Company. Included are the archival fonds of the Yip family and Yip Sang Company, the Dart Coon Club and Chinese Freemasons of Victoria, Hugh G. Robinson (regarding the S.S. Greenhill Park Explosion), Rev. MacDonnell (regarding the Clandonald colony of Scottish immigrants in Alberta) and the British Columbia Coast Steamship Service. Includes documents, ephemera and artifacts of the Canadian Pacific Railway Company, including records of travelers on CPR rail and steamships.

Fonds consists of personal and business records of Peter Faminow, related to his personal and family life, career as a lawyer and a politician, and his interests and involvement in the Doukhobor community. Records include correspondence, clippings and scrapbooks, photographs, audio recordings, papers, speeches, and other textual records. The fonds consists of photograph albums depicting Turner's activities as managing director of the Fraser River Gold Dredging Company, including scenes of equipment, placer mining sites, and aspects of life in Lytton, including a native funeral procession. Includes scenes of Turner's voyage to Canada aboard ships and trains.

Notebook containing a copy of "The Totem Poles in Stanley Park" by Rev. John C. Goodfellow, photographs taken from "Potlatch and Totem and the Recollections of an Indian Agent" by W. M. Halliday, and letters and photographs of Vancouver artist George Norris. The notebook also contains a cover letter from Leonard A. Woods about the materials in the notebook and some background information about Norris, as well as newspaper clippings and ephemera.

The fonds consists primarily of clippings and articles relating to international affairs, Chinese customs preserved in Canada, life in Vancouver's China Town and social and political problems confronted by Chinese Canadians. Further, the fonds also contains many complete copies of the Chinatown newspaper, The Chinese Voice; records related to Foon Sien Wong's Chinatown activities through the Vancouver Unity Association, the Canadian Centennial Planning Committee, and other related groups.

The fonds consists of an original copy of Wallich's The North Atlantic Seabed with handwritten notes, a large, handwritten biological note book, personal annotated copies of Wallich's "Original Papers" and "Contributed Papers"(1857-1865), incoming correspondence and clippings. Also included are some records belonging to G. Wallich which relate to the Dooars Planters' Association, an organization of tea growers in India.

The fonds consists of correspondence, reports, minutes of meetings and activities of the Vancouver Labour Committee for Human Rights.

The fonds consists of Turner's handwritten diary (1911-1912). Much of the diary refers to his construction activities and to the political events of the time. The diary is written in a copying book that interleaves an "onion skin"-type paper with regular paper to allow for the creation of a copy. In this instance the copies appear to have been sent to his family - the first entry is dated November 12-13, 1911 and is addressed to "Mother dearest & all."

Fonds consists of records generated by TRAS in the course of raising funds for, and administering funds to, overseas partners. The fonds is organized into the following series: administrative records (1962-1990) and project records (1964-1997). The film “Initiation of a Dalai Lama” was brought to UBC by John Conway in May 1988 to be deposited with the records of TRAS. Documentation from 1970 with the film suggests the film was borrowed from UBC Audio-Visual Services Extension Department by Dr. Shotaro Iida for use by the Dalai Lama.

The collection consists of research material created or collected by Olof Seaholm pertaining to Swedish immigration and organizations to Canada and North America. The collection mainly consists of general research material related to these themes, but there is some more specialized research into specific areas of Swedish Canadian history, such as the Scandinavian Central Committee and the International Order of Good Templars. Textual records in this collection include minute books, clippings, a constitution, correspondence, research notes, newspaper and magazine issues and clippings, books, and photographs documenting Swedish communities in British Columbia and research material about Swedish activities in North America.

The collection contains four series related to Seaholm's research. They include the Swedish Canadian research material series; Scandinavian Central Committee series; Independent Order of Good Templars series; and the Swedish Canadian Rest Home material series.

Personal files include photographs, correspondence, and historical family records dating back to the 19th century. Materials related to Stephen's involvement with the Canadian Women's Press Club and the Vancouver branch of the Canadian Authors Association are also part of this fonds.

Materials include correspondence, photographs, recorded interviews, reports, handwritten notes, clippings, research materials, prints, postcards, ephemera and other documents.

The "Gulf of Georgia files" series was arranged by the records creator and has been respected. All other series have been imposed by the archivist and arranged according to materials that relate to Stacey's roles as expert witness in various trials, historical and industrial researcher, collector and curator, and commercial fisherman, respectively. Where correspondence and photographs were stored separately by the records creator, they have been retained together in series according to their document type; otherwise, file integrity has been respected and these materials may be found in other series as well.

A significant amount of material, consisting primarily of copies of photographs obtained by Stacey from various archival institutions, has been removed.

The fonds also consists of material related to a libel claim made against Scott and the Committee on Canadian Labour History. The fonds also consists of material collected by Jack Scott relating primarily to other communist, socialist, leftist, or social justice organizations and arranged by subject either by Jack Scott or by his acquaintances following his death. This material includes photocopies and originals of letters, writings, and other documents; statements, commentaries, bulletins, and other literature; ephemera, such as posters, newspaper clippings, flyers, newsletters, and pamphlets; and speech texts. The fonds also consists of personal papers and documents, including miscellaneous incoming correspondence, oral history interview transcripts and related documents, and correspondence and documents related to Scott’s 1964 expulsion from the Communist Party.

The collection consists of research material for Betty Keller's book, "Pauline: The Life of Pauline Johnson". It includes photocopies of letters to, from, and about Pauline Johnson, copies of printed material, as well as two articles about Johnson. Johnson, also known by her Mohawk stage name Tekahionwake, was a Canadian poet, author and performer who was popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Her father was a hereditary Mohawk chief of mixed ancestry and her mother was an English immigrant.

The fonds consists of material related to Matthew Lindfors’ advocacy, promotion, and research into the culture and history of the Swedish diaspora in Canada, particularly in BC. The materials are sorted into three series: Swedish-Canadian Culture and History; Press Publications and Correspondence; and Sofia Girls’ Tour. Contents include typescripts of interviews and radio broadcasts about Swedish-Canadian history in Canada (broadcasts were produced for the CBC), newspaper clippings about Swedes in Canada and abroad, correspondence with Swedish-Canadians and various groups supporting Swedish cultural activities in Canada (including Swedish-language film screenings in BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan), and promotional and administrative records related to the 1956-1957 Canadian tour of the Sofia Girls’ Rhythmic Gymnastics Team, which Lindfors helped to organize.
